Although at this point, I don't get excited for birthdays anymore. 

 

When you're a kid, you look forward to being 10. 

Then you look forward to 13.

Then 16. 

Then 18. 

Then 21. 

 

After that, it's all downhill. I'm 23 years old tomorrow. You know what my next milestone is? 30. I'll be 30. Nobody wants to be 30. 

30 is that guy that doesn't get invited to the party He tries to be cool but nobody likes him because it's like, "Dude, you're 30. You don't belong here."

I was completely terrified of growing up as a kid. Then I wanted to be younger again.

 

 Now I frankly don't care. I just want the birthday money. Once that stops coming, then I'll be sad.

But I am getting a raise. I know this because I'm a payroll coordinator. I get to see what everyone gets paid and is going to be paid based on the budget. Including me. I got curious. So I looked me up. 

 

So I guess that could be my early birthday present. Getting a raise. I don't mind that

 

I don't mind doing the same amount of work I've been doing and getting paid more money for it
