Hi Kelldrick! It's like everyone is showing up now.

 

 I'm kinda like that, the only reason I'm comfortable talking to you guys is because it's the internet, but if I met you in real-life I'd probably still be a lot more comfortable because of interactions here. But with anyone I meet in real life, I just can't talk to them at all, and don't really connect well.

 

 There's all these weird rules, and expectations, and all these various "Signs" to things I just don't get, and it makes talking frustrating. I either don't get them and mess up, or spend the entire conversation trying really hard to not make them, and stress myself out to the point I don't want to talk anymore.

I like talking to people, but this is how I work: I'm someone who like deep, meaningful relationships. And if I don't have that with someone, it's very difficult for me to talk to them. That makes it incredibly tough to meet new people. Because if I don't have one of those relationships with you, I don't see any reason to talk to you. And if I don't have a reason to talk to someone, I don't. 

 

Of course, when I am close to someone, I am extremely social.

Well yeah. Other people don't interest me. Sometimes I see someone and I just know if I want to get to know them. People like that don't stroll past me very often.

I'm actually not. Reserved and introverted, but once you spend a few minutes around me or you get me to drinking, I can be extremely loud.

I used to be improving my socializing skills a lot, but I kinda stopped. It was stressful, and I never felt like I was doing it to make my life easier or better, it was just so others wouldn't feel "Uncomfortable", or whatever. That's kinda where my Bitterness a few days ago came from, "Improvement" felt more like "Censorship".

 

 Trying to be more confident never ended well. I'd show some shred of confidence, stand up for myself, be myself...and then got shot down, laughed at, mocked, threatened, whatever...

 

 Social interaction offline just isn't "Fun", not even a little bit. It's this dumb game, where there's rules, but most of the rules are stupid, or make no sense, or are harmful. By the time you get good, you're just sick of it and want it to quit. It's like the name of the game is just to be dishonest until people like you, or put yourself through some filter so people don't hate your guts for one of a billion reasons.

 

...At least for me, anyway.
