Nectar, could you open the script in a text editor and make sure the line endings are for UNIX/Linux? You can do this in gedit in the Save As dialog.

In gedit, there are no visible ^M's after every line. I don't understand why it thinks the path doesn't exist, I didn't even enter it, I dragged the file from Nautilus.

tar.gz is a standard UNIX archive format. milcol is the shell script you couldn't get working.

You may want to bookmark the post so you don't lose it in the flood of CTaM posts.
