Infinity minus infinity is indeterminate.

 

Imagine I have an infinite number of apples and I give you all of them. Infinity minus infinity = 0

 

Now imagine I have an infinite number of motel rooms numbered 1, 2, 3, and so on. Say I only give you the odd numbered ones. It's still an infinite amount from an infinite amount so infinity minus infinity = infinity.

 

Now imagine I have an infinite number of ping pong balls. I give you all of them but ten. So now infinity minus infinity = 10.
