Well it's a couple of things. One bad and the other good. The bad - I've gone into the red in my checking account again. And I've got to tell my parents about it. I'm not looking forward to that. But the good is that I've decided to start saving for a house. I got to thinking last night that I'm paying all this rent and I will never own this place. I'll never have anything to show for it. I want a place I will own one day. I want a yard. So I'm rolling out a five year plan to save a sizeable down payment so I can buy a home and have it paid for 10 years after buying it. This is probably going to mean a few changes. First, I want to move to a cheaper place to live. It won't be a very nice place to live, but it'll be worth it if it allows me to cut back a couple hundred dollars a month on rent. I might also have to take on a second job to save more. The plan is to save money aggressively. My goal is somewhere between $30,000 and $50,000. It'll be hard, but it'll be worth it. I'm just overwhelmingly nervous about doing this and about telling my parents what I want to do.
