Heh, as we keep a listening watch on a 2nd radio frequency (121.5 the "guard" frequency) we hear a variety of things.

General Aviation asking for position fixes (training or real), ATC trying to speak to aircraft that have gone "missing" is out of range of the frequency they were on, aircraft relaying messages to other aircraft and occasionally emergencies.

However, as we're human like everyone else, we occasionally make mistakes, such as making normal calls but on 121.5 so we'll hear people trying to contact their handling agents etc

When someone makes an erroneous transmission on it is common to hear others chime in with "on guard".

I always want to respond to that with "touché" :)

If I don't understand something or Interpret it wrong, I'm dutch. Sometimes I gamble for meanings of the words. And sometimes I write the wrong words, like week and weak for example. Sorry for it already. :smug:
