So, Intel's Coffee Lake is now out. As expected, it edges out Ryzen in gaming benchmarks, and does real good for a 6-core/12thread CPU in productivity; equals the R7 chips, and even Intel's own 6-core and 8-core X299 CPUs. Talk about eating your own stuff.

Still think Ryzen is a better value IMO, since the CPUs themselves are cheaper, the platform cost is cheaper (B350 boards letting you OC, and, well, the cheaper Coffee Lake chipsets not getting released until next year apparently :T), and, yea, you get a sweet stock cooler that lets you do mild OCs with Ryzen. But, well, it's nice to see the gap between Intel and AMD back at a neutral stance, performance wise, since forever. Guess that's what competition does. \m/

Looks like we'll have one wild ride of competition for the next five years. :')

Feel bad about Kaby Lake buyers tho. Damn, not even a year since a new architecture, and it's now dead af. Worse is that you can't put Coffee Lake chips on Z270. :/
