I've done a few vectors in the past, not gone too badly. I really want to be able to vector with out copying an image.

I have tried doing vectors without tracing a reference image in the past, and guess what it looks sooo original. The jagged curves, the giant head, the small body, the thin and long legs, much more original but uglier than the show proper.

Right now I'm using a combination of programs Paint Tool Sai for the vectoring and Photoshop CS 5.1 for stuff like shading or gradients and minor touch ups plus for stuff I find difficult to do in Paint Tool.
