Appearance: Her coat resembles goldenrod, and her mane is a medium golden brown. She's of average build and height for her age and species. She keeps her mane in a bun that is only slightly messy; her tail is also very slightly messy. Her eyes are blue. Because her vision is slightly impaired, she sometimes wears her glasses, but only when she's reading something. Usually she can see pretty well.

 

Personality: Her general mood is happy, and she tries to spread joy to those around her. However, she can be very emotional. When she is happy, she is very happy. When she is angry, she is enraged. When she is sad, she is nearly depressed, and she can go from one mood to another very quickly.

 

She is reserved; often she doesn't have the first word in a conversation. She is also extremely friendly. If someone talks to her for more than a few minutes, she might end up being that pony's best friend by the end of it all.

 

Backstory: Buttertoast was born into a pretty fairly average family living in a fairly average town. This fairly average town is the home of some fairly average folk who live their fairly average lives and run their fairly average businesses. Being only 17, Buttertoast was still attending her fairly average high school where she spoke to her fairly average friends about their fairly average lives. She never really fit into her fairly average town, though. She was always a little more energetic than the others around her. Where others would jog, she would sprint. Where others would walk, she would skip. She was beginning to think that if she spent forever in this fairly average little town, she would become fairly average herself.

 

But it was this fairly average town where her mother and father had built their fairly average pharmacy. And while she didn't like the idea of being fairly average, this place was the place she called home.

 

Her father is the pharmacist who had the idea to set up shop only a few years before Buttertoast was born. A recent college graduate, he was faced with the decision of working for another company or setting up his own business. He was always a risk-taker so he borrowed some money to buy an old building in downtown to set up the family business. Her mother, a few years younger than her father, graduated from the same university as her father with an accounting degree. She handles all the finances, taxes, and bookkeeping of the family business.

 

During the school week, she helps her parents out with their shop by running the cash register or sweeping the floors. She really dislikes helping out because she thinks it gets in the way of her social life, but they do pay her for her work so she doesn't complain. 

 

Her parents were always pushing her toward the medical field. Her father especially wanted her to become a doctor. The more he pushed it on her, the less she wanted to do it. She had different plans. When she was 9 years old, she was taken to the skating rink to learn how to use roller skates. Turns out, she was a natural, and her passion for skating was born. In the winter, when the lakes froze over, she would often go ice skating on them. When there was a figure skating show, she was there. The spins, flips, and tricks they did left her in awe every time. By the time she was 13 years old, she decided she wanted to be a professional figure skater.

 

She has two main goals in her life: To make others as happy as she can make them. And to skate in front of crowds. Buttertoast continues to hone her skills.

I just wanted to drive home a point that she's different. However, if it makes her home seem...boring or gray, I can edit that out a little. Maybe throw in that there is some kind of yearly event she likes to attend there.

I guess it could be a pair of ice skates. Would be fairly fitting, don't you think?

Though it may be a little more interesting if she didn't have one....

Perhaps she and her parents butt heads over it because nobody knows what her destiny is.....

What is this strange liquid I feel coming from my eyes? Oh God. I'm going to have to admit it. I'm crying.     Only because that is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. It details the tragedy, the joy, the friendships, and everything else that makes us happy and what makes us human. It is what drives us forward. You, my sir, are a visionary and deserve a prize for this.

So what do you guys think before I make a request for her? Should Buttertoast have a cutie mark or not?
