I have a bad habit of standing in front of the freezer scooping the ice cream straight from the tub

Damn, just missed Filly

Was going to say that UK is somewhere inbetween US and rest of the world.

We use ALL measurements :)

If its cold °C if its hot °F

"Brr, its going to hit a low of -10°C

"Wow! its going to hit 90°F, what a scorcher"

Aviation uses everything

       Altitude   Distance  Pressure Fuel

US feet - statute miles - inches of mercury - lbs

W Europe feet and metres - nautical miles - hPa (millibars) - kg

E Europe metres - ?  - ? - kg

Fly into Paris,

speed is in knots (or % of speed of sound)

altitude is in feet and

distance from runway is in nautical miles.

Length of runway is given in metres and feet.

Visibility is given in metres,

Fuel uplifted in litres and converted to kg (specific gravity of fuel changes)

Risey - your post count is 57575 :)
