$2,000 is a lot of money, but they don't come cheaply from what I've heard.

Hm.... Sometimes you can get them more cheaper if you buy the cards in bulk, what with those massive boxes.

Let's see... my own spendings come to about $150. As for those boxes (Fat Packs) It's 9 boosters and some other loot for $30-ish dollars... there's also premade decks for $15.

 

My cards! I just organized those by expansion, color, and rarity!

Well...

 

There's $15 premade decks, good for beginners!

 

For those who want to up their game, boosters come $4 a pop,

 

For those who wanna REALLY boost their decks, there's $30 Fat Packs, containing 9 boosters,

 

And those who have a good handle on the game and a buddy can buy a two-premade-deck Duel Deck, the current one is Heroes vs. Monsters. Those go for $20 for the two.

 

EDIT: All in all, one usually buys a premade, plays it a bit, enhances it with a few boosters, and eventually, you'll have enough cards to take apart your old deck and make a whole new one. Trading with others helps, too.
