I'm running full Norton right now, and I just turned on Adblocker Plus.

Β

I ran a quick Norton before and got 7 tracking cookies.

@Windchaser

Firefox doesn't really seem to agree with my mac, and always crashes unexpectedly.

I get much less strife with the default safari browser for some reason though.

I'm using Windows 7. Firefox is on the slow side but runs better than IE. Chrome has become more vulnerable lately because of the rising popularity of Google products. I used to get hijacked on DeviantArt on my mobile all the time, but they fixed it.

Β

The scariest thing about Chrome is that once they hack your Google account, it's all over.

I normally use Tor. Sure it is a government honeypot, but it keeps them pesky civilian viruses away.

The government uses tor, but they cant track you. Tor has too many relays.

I use Seamonkey.

Always good to use a browser few people have ever heard of. If fewer people have heard of it, fewer people know how to hack it!

Β

Does it have a private mode? I feel a bit safer knowing those attacks happened on a private mode, that I closed the browser quickly without clicking anything else, and whatever might have infected the browser would probably have been cleaned out by closing it, but I still had to run the Norton just in case.

You can private browse if you get an addon.
