You could get an older F-150. Buddy of mine has a 94 with the L6 in it. Idk if you can find the L6 with 4WD. They may have only put that with the V8 models. But they're a lot more reliable than people give them credit for.

My uncle has one of those. Transmission just went on it, and those Mazda transmissions aren't cheap or easy to come by.

It seems like older motors are always more reliable than today's engines. The AMC 4.0, the old VTEC's, the old Volvo's, old Powerstrokes, the Cummins (though it always is), older VW's, even old Subie Boxer engines are reliable as hell.
