Time jumpers.

 

Day 74

Fire paced as the machine was being worked on, the other ponies just ignored her. They didn't really need to worry about her; they knew that she wouldn't get in their way.

 

Day 78

Fire shakes the hoof of all the scientist ponies as she went to grab the deceive that they had been working on for so long. This deceive was the only thing that they could use against their newest threat, or maybe their oldest.

 

Day 84

The flyers that had been put out for the volunteer work for the use of the deceive and not many a pony had replied. It seems that whoever they were facing was driving too much fear into the hearts of the ponies that lived in Equestria. Though some have risen to the challenge and now Fire must wait at the castles front gates, waiting for those ponies to show themselves.

 

That is you. You need to get to Fire sharp and then the adventure will begin.

"You ready to go, Fire?" Color Spark called from the door, saddlebags levitating near her with a blue aura around them.

"Sure!" called the bubbly red Pegasus, who was flying down from the loft.

"Good. Now, let's go."

"Lead the way, Sparky!"

Will she ever stop calling me that? thought Color Spark as she held he door for her sister, then locked it.

"Are we there yet?" 

"Almost... I see the gates."

The two mares arrived at the gates and trotted up to the mare waiting there.

"Hi! I'm Firecracker and this is my big sis Sparky!" Firecracker said as she shook the mare's hoof excitedly.

"Er, that's Color Spark," the orange unicorn cut in, awkwardly holding a hoof out for a hoofshake. "It's, er,  nice to meet you, despite the consequences. A while ago, my twin sister Supernova died. After reading the flyers and a bit of research on my part, it seems to match up. I'm sure that this mare was the cause of Nova's death. That's why we're here. We want to avenge our sister."

She said this with fierce determination in her multicolored eyes.

Fire shook the 2 pony's hoofs and nodded.

"I understand, this mare has been causing all kind of death. I do wish that we stay here until the others arrive so that I can explain what is really going on in a group then you'll be heading out." 

Fire knew exactly what was going on and she did share the pain with this mare, she had some friends die trying to fight the Mare of time in the heat of a fight.

Chivalry gets his things ready. "Alright, I have my Killik Knights Blade, some food... am I forgetting anything?" Chivalry looked around his messed up house, there were bags and boxes everywhere, scraps and paper laying on the floor. "Eh, I really need to clean this place up when I get back." And with that, Chivalry leaves to meet Fire Sharp at the castle.

Fast Forward>>>

Chivalry finally makes it to the castle, he is tired out and is breathing heavily. "-Huff Puff- Geeze, why do all my adventures always have to start off at a castle?" Chivalry see's a mare standing in front of the gates along with two other ponies. "Huh, there are others?" Chivalry catches his breath and walks up the the small group. "Hey there, my name is Chivalry Knight, but most ponies just call me Chivalry. I'm guessing that your all here for the adventure?" Chivalry said as he smiled at the group.

"Hi Chivalry! I'm Firecracker!" The red Pegasus beamed at him.

"Fire, you're so excitable..." Color Spark muttered before directing her attention to the newcomer. "Hi, I'm Color Spark. If you're talking about going after the Time Mare, then yes. We're both here to avenge our sister."

"Hello Chivalry Knight,it is nice to meet you. I am really here to get you guys started on your adventure, I have duties to attend to here in this timeframe and can not join you. But I am here for you."

Fire nodded her head in respected, she needed to plan the funerals for her friends.

"Hmm, your sister eh? Heh, so your going on the path of an avenger. Be careful what path you take, ya? Some paths aren't meant to be crossed you know?" Chivalry was walked closer to the group. "trust me I know the pain of loss, It is a pain that cannot be cured even with the strongest of medicine. The only way to cure such a pain, is acceptance." Chivalry also looks at Fire. "you, It seems that you have lost those who are special to you. Have you accepted? Or... does the feel of loss drive you harder to find and kill this Time Mare?"

Fire nodded and smiled at the pony's wisdom, she shared the same wisdom as well.

"I have seen death and have lost others that were close to me before, I am no stranger to grief and that is why I'm here to send you off. I accept it, but that doesn't mean I have to give defeat over it, the time mare has to be stopped before more die."

((She was talking about Firecracker. Fire is just what Spark calls Firecracker. ...this could get confusing xD))

Color turned to Fire Sharp. 

"I'm not quite sure what you're apologizing for. At any rate, i know the feeling."

"Same here. Losing a sister is hard." Even the normally bright Firecracker had sobered up and was looking downcast.

"Not to mention a twin. Anyhow," Color turned back to Chivalry. "I don't really get what you mean, but thank you anyway."

"Heh, for some reason I expected you to say something like that." Chivalry said to Fire Sharp. "Oh, by the way, I didn't quite catch your name." Chivalry was curious to know what the pony with as much wisdom as him's name was. "As, I stated before, I'm Chivalry Knight"

"Mine is Fire Sharp, Commander of the Special Ops team in the Equestrian military."

Fire said her name and rank with proud, she had to. To honor those who died in battle and wouldn't have been able to say it themselves.

"I won't be partaking in this adventure but I assure you that I will be there, with you in spirit. And a communication stereo, because there always good to have around."

Fire tried to crack a joke in her time of mourning but she wasn't sure what the others reaction would be.

"Hehe, Hahaha. Heh that was a good one Fire. So we'll be able to communicate with you via the stereo I presume? I'm actually curious of how it works, does it ignore the balance of time? also, what would happen if it were to get damaged or destroyed, what then?" Chivalry was a bit skeptical of this stereo device.

Fire looked at the stallion, she didn't really know how to break it to him but she had no other way, she told him the truth. 

"They were actually given to us, by the mare herself. She left them on the doorstep wrapped up like a present, leaving us instructions on how to use them and that. Said they were called walkie talkies. We've tested them out and they have a connection with any place and time, you could be in early equestria and we'll be able to talk to you here, in this time. We believe that she'd modified it so they could work this way."

"Alrite I got everything" stormtwister said aloud even tho no one was there. Looking around his cloud house he wondered when he would return or if he would at all... Fast forward

"There's the gates" storm said as he flew, still lost in thought he landed with out a sound and sat there thinking of what would happen to him now

"A... walkie talkie? interesting, but why would she give it to us, or rather, you?" Color wondered aloud.

Firecracker was the first to notice the stallion who landed a bit away from the gates. She immediately cheered back up and hastily flew over to him.

"Hi, I'm Firecracker!" she exclaimed, beaming at the newcomer to welcome him. "And that's my big sis Sparky, that's Chivalry Knight, and that's Fire Sharp! Are you here to stop the weird Time Mare too?"

"Huh… oh yes I am. The names stormtwister its nice to meet you" stormtwister said as he looked the group over while trying to decide who would be able to come back the same as when the left "Well I guess I should go over there with the rest of you shouldnt I?"

"Nice to meet you too, Stormtwister! Can I call you Storm? Oh, and yeah you should probaly come join the group. We might be waiting for a couple more ponies but I dunno. C'mon!" Fire barely breathed between her sentences. She grabbed Storm's hoof and dragged him over to the group.

"Hi again guys. This is Stormtwister! He's here because- wait, why are you here?"

Yes you may call me storm an I am here because the time mare has killed to many to be left to run thru time it kills me to see ponies crying because they have had a loved one die for no reason but a mare playing with time" storm answers as he shakes hooves with every pony "and firecracker it would be nice if you didn't drag me again"

Firecracker smiled apologetically. "Sorry!" she replied. She probably didn't sound like it, but she meant it. 

"I know you didn't ask, but my sis and i are here because our sister Supernova - Sparky's twin - died because of the Time Mare," she explained sombrely.

"I see, but why would she just give them to you. Have you taken into consideration that she may have one too? If not, then you should, because these will definitely be a dead giveaway to our location, our plans, and our abilities. Do you agree?" Chivalry didn't seem to trust the stereos one bit after hearing that they came from the Time Mare.

Skitter Run Ran as fast as he could to the castle

"- Darn it I'm late I knew I should have left early-"

As Skitter Run closed in on the castle he saw a group of ponys talking.

"- That must be who I am meeting-"

he turned towards them and started running towards them.

"Yes I know that we shouldn't really trust the 'walkie talkies' but we've been developing something similar for over 10 years, she's been harbouring our efforts and leaving us taunts. We've tested them and every time we did we got no feedback and no signals had left the decieve. It seems she wants us to 'play' with her and cheating wouldn't be fair."

" I see I guess we have no choice but to go along with this" storm said " hey tsomepony is running over here" he said while nodding in the strangers direction "firecracker why don't u go welcome him to the group" he said then added " since you seem to love meeting new ponies so much"

Firecracker perked up, any possible joking behind his last statement going right over her head. "Okay!"

She immediately flew over to the stallion who was galloping towards the group.
