Glad this got revived for a little bit biggrin.png

Im currently doing a randomizer nuzlocke in Black 2 and my starter was a Swinub. I named her Porky tongue.png

My second pokemon was a Shelmet but Shelmet's aren't good til much higher levels so i'll most likely be dropping her soon.

I take credit in being the one to revive the thread. Please hold your applause..

I'm kidding ;p, but i did revive it xD.

I still haven't done a nuzlocke.. Am I a bad person? ;p.

Shelmet is interesting, especially if you can get it evolved, but its so hard to get the right stuff to evolve it. But when evolved its quite a beast.

The last Pokémon game I 'played through' was White Version 2. Since Diamond version I haven't really been one to restart and replay the main stories of Pokémon games, but rather just play through it once and then train, catch, and battle with the Pokémon that I want to with the post game and battle facilities and whatnot. I even finished the Pokédex in HeartGold at least mostly legitimately(I am not a cheater at all anymore though). The next Pokémon game I play through will be X when it comes out Saturday, and I probably won't be restarting that one either, and continuing the catching/training/battling my brains out tradition I've done with the past 4 Pokémon games I've played no doubt, don't see much point in replaying them honestly as I'd rather just build up my barracks. yay.png

I did replay through Ruby an uncountable number of times though, and Leaf Green as well, but nowadays I'd rather not wipe everything clean and lose all my Pokémon.

I'm playing through black 2 right now!

I do alot of restarting, i love making new teams and starting the game again. Of course i do like to do some end game content to, normally i have a game where i collect all my pokemon on. Which right now is my platinum, soon it'll be my Black 2 probably, and then afterwards pokemon Y.

And dang.. thats alot of getting pokemon, I've been trying to get there, but i'm a long ways away ;p.

Haven't picked up Pokemon Diamond in a long while. But I'm still working on the national pokedex of that game. I've nicknamed nearly all of my pokemon because I'm like that. In my current party, I've got 3 level 100s and 3 who are not far behind. They're in their mid 90s. But I'm gonna get X or Y this saturday and start it right away.

I also have white, but I haven't played that one in a while. Sadly, I think I'm gonna have to restart because I've arrived at the pokemon league with no potions or healing stuff. I might just have to sacrifice my progress and black out so I could go back and buy stuff even if I must pay a sum.

Dang, all your pokemon nicknamed? I don't know if i have that many ideas...

And i only had like a lvl 97 plusle in colleseum when i was a kid, and that was like my highest.

Well, I'm not actively playing through any Pokemon game at the moment, but my strategy is always the same. I always, always plan out my team before I start my playthrough. The six Pokemon I choose for my team are the only six Pokemon I'll catch, except for legendaries and shinies. To add a degree of challenge to my playthroughs, I only use Pokeballs for catching (even legendaries) and I don't let a single Pokemon on my team faint, ever.

Yeah same here, i plan my teams out before hand, however other then that i mostly playthrough normally, i mean i don't use legendaries really, but thats about it.

But that does sound like it'd be difficult at times. I don't know if i could go faintless, i've never even done a nuzlocke.

i used to play it alot when i was a teenager.. it wasn't specifically challenging at that time you just need to use type advantages and you can easily win.. but I think there is a majority of players  that have played through 2nd gen and well..there is this gym leader with that everybody hates.. even me, this gym leader can clean sweep you with her second pokemon  if your not prepared.

I heard that this gym leader is even harder in soul silver/heartgold... that would rage enducing if that is true :)

I am currently playing through Pokemon Y. So far, I have seven out of eight badges and am going to be getting my eighth badge soon. I caught the legendary Pokemon, Yveltal. As of right now, I'm rebuilding my team because I have found some interesting Pokemon I want to add.

I just beat Y a week or so back. I loved the game! My only complaint is that it was too easy. I remember playing Black 2, I actually had to try. I just swept through Y...I can't wait until the Pokemon Bank comes out in December. I'm totally doing another playthrough of Black 2. I actually really enjoyed Black 2, and it has to be one of my favorite Pokemon games ever.

I would love to try a Nuzlocke Firered or Sapphire challenge, but my DS is broke. My gameboy advanced randomly shuts off. My gameboy color sucks so I can't even play Yellow anymore without it turning off randomly. I'm stuck with a 3DS...oh well. I'm still hoping for a 3D Hoenn remake in the future. That'd be sweet!

Whitney is not hard! Yes, we've all heard the myth about how notoriously challenging Whitney's Miltank is, but that's all it is...a myth! Here, let me break it down for you. Whitney's Miltank is level 20 (19 in HG/SS) and knows Attract, Milk Drink, Rollout, and Stomp. Obviously Rollout is Miltank's most threatening move, and Milk Drink gives it a lot of sustainability in battle. Attract can be annoying if your Pokemon is male.

So, how do you combat such a well equipped Pokemon? Easy! Catch and use any of the following Pokemon against it: Bellsprout, Geodude, Ledyba (Silver), Mareep, Oddish, or Zubat. All of these Pokemon are very easy to catch before reaching Goldenrod City, and are very effective against Whitney's Miltank. Geodude can simply tank the damage from Rollout as rock type moves only deal half damage to it. Ledyba learns Mach Punch which is super-effective against Miltank. The rest of them have access to either Confuse Ray, Sleep Powder, or Stun Spore which stops Rollout from building up damage every turn. Congrats! Victory is sure to be yours!

I allways play Pokemon the same way. Start out with fire, Get a full set of different Pokemon right away. Battle when you fell like it. Get killed by the Final 4 or what not. :/ I never could grind...

Hmm.. how about my best and worst playthrough for a start? Or my first and last? How about I just go on here everyone once in awhile and post this stuff that no one will read anyways? xD

Okay so the first playthrough I ever did was Sapphire. And I started out with torchic, which I used until it was lvl 100. Actually, I don't remember beating the elite 4, maybe I didn't? xD I was like 7 though so  I probably wasn't the best. But I did trade that blazekin over to heartgold and it rests in the pc.

Last playthrough I did was on a fire red rom on my phone. It was probably my best pokemon game playthrough ever, well maybe. But I defeated the elite four with a charizard, vaporeon, raichu, golbat, haunter, and primeape.

Vaporeon was my best pokemon, followed by chiarizard then haunter, raichu, primeape, and golbat (mostly used for hms)
