Tarot looked outside. The monsters were everywhere. "so yeah, umm. What are these things?" Tarot asked while looking at a particularly gruesome looking one. "Ewww, that one looks like a spider and a duck had babies" she turned away from the window and sat on the floor. "we arent gonna be locked in here are we?" she asked, noticing how small the interior was for 4 ponies

Breezy Tune walked through the streets tired and hungry... Searching for food. "Need food....." Breezy Tune arrived in Canterlot shortly after the city's crisis. After he found out the situation he took up arms to help the heroes and restore Canterlot's former glory.

As he walked down the streets looking for food he found that he thought about his life before.... His peaceful and happy life living in Ponyville... But now the time had come.... The time to fight.

Gloom scoffs."You're not the first bastard to make that joke. And you can go out there and get killed or worse if you want. I'd rather stay here and die drunk and on my ass if you don't mind." He then opens a bottle of unmarked booze and takes a long drink be for letting out a hot breath, "By the way, take Tarot with you when you go."

Tarot stuck out her tongue at Gloom. "I can take a hint. Lets get going then" tarot said, leaving the house and watching the monsters roam the streets. "so whose flank should we kick first?" said Tarot, looking very confident, though her fighting skills were mediocre at best

Breezy Tune walked down the Canterlot's many streets with his Colt Anaconda in hoof ready to take it out when needed. After walking a while he encountered saw a shack with three ponies in it. One was red with a blue mane and the others were named Gloom and Tarot as he heard when approaching the shack. He got up close to the shack and put his ear near it to listen into their conversation undetected. "Maybe they'll have food." He thought excitedly. He stood there listening in on there conversation just to see if they were friendly ponies and he could have a chat with them about his hunger.

After whatching them leave, Gloom slumps down in a old chair and takes another long drink from the bottle. After a minute  he heard someone nosing around one of the shacks windows and he sighs. "Whoever is out there you might as well come in, not like I care anymore."

Breezy Tune heard what Gloom said He cautiously approached the door with his Colt in hoof ready to fire if he was attacked. He opened the door and scanned the room with his Colt pointing at all four corners of the room just in case. He then lowered his Colt and said "Hi. The name's Breezy Tune. I was wondering if you have any food here. I'm nearly starving to death out there and can't seem to find any."

Gloom takes another drink from the bottle."Yeah, there's food in the fridge, it's next to the ground beef, don't worry it's not pony." He then holds out his hoof while taking another drink."Also, I'm going to have to ask for your gun, I don't need another kids death on my conscience."

"I'm not sure I can trust you with my gun. I need it for.... Defensive purposes. But i'll take your word for it this time." *Breezy Tune tosses the gun on a nearby table and heads for the fridge* "Mmmmm I was starving to death." *Breezy Tune picks up the Ground Beef package with his horn and opens it. He finds a pan in the shack and a stove that barely still works. He then proceeds to start cooking the ground beef on the pan.* "So I heard you're name was Gloom. What are you doing around these dangerous parts?"

"Looking for work, getting drunk, trying to forget, one of the reasons poor bastards like me and you come to any town like this." Gloom gets up and take his knife out of the wall and sheaths it, then walks to where Breezy tossed the gun. He pick it up and checks to see how many bullets are in the barrel, he only finds tow."So what's a kid like you doing in a piss hole like this, also why are you not freaked out buy the ground beef."

Big Shot was in his office speaking to a cloaked, maroon unicorn. When Shale walked in with news.

 

"Excuse me sir. I regret to inform you that a group of vigilantes has taken out one of your eastern rigs. Hirue is dead."

 

Big Shot grew angry and snarled at the cloaked pony with him. "What the hell kind of men are you sending out there? Bums off the street!"

 

"I assure you. If Hirue was killed, he didn't go down easily. My men are well trained." The unicorn said.

 

"Convince me."

 

"I have three elites. I'll send them into the city and have them kill any group that opposes your good business."

"Well I moved here a while ago and I have no other place to go so I decided to take up arms and fight the villains that lurk in all corners of this city. Even though I am kind of a coward." *Breezy Tune continues to cook the ground beef until it's ready* "I have learned to adapt to meat and other foods even though it is another animal. After all it is food and it's starting to get scarce here in Canterlot." *He takes the ground beef off the pan splits it in half and puts it on two plates just in case Gloom wants some. Then he proceeds to eat his half.* "Have you ever thought about what this city might become in the future? How much worse it could get."

Three pony like figures in cloaks were watching the streets from the top of a building.

 

"This place is a dump. What does the boss expect us to find?" The largest one asked. He had a deep, meaty voice.

 

"He expects us to observe." The shortest one said. "Discoveries will come in time."

"Not really, no. I'm not even from this country, so why should I care?" He picks up the plate of meat ans starts eating."Also, do you really think this place can be saved, really? Plus, how are you going to fight villains with only toe bullets, and probably no real training in any combat."

Tarot sat on her flank. "Well, maybe we can try. We have to at least try!" said Tarot, looking at the thugs and theifs surrounding the area. "Maybe if we get other ponies to help us. We can at least make a decent area for ponies who dont want to live crime filled lives!" she said, trying to convince him

Darkspine notices all of the monsters down there already. The city of Canterlot was already in complete chaos. "No sense in wasting good men." Darkspine thought allowed. "Men, return to the ship! We'll let the other beasts handle them." The monsters all returned into the void and back to the dark realm. At that point, Darkspine just sat back and watched.

Blast saw all of the monsters going back into the void and smirked. "Looks like ol' Darkspine isn't as smart as I thought he was. The monsters are returning to the realm."

*Breezy Tune shows Gloom a large pack with guns and water in it* "I'm stocked up quite well actually I got more guns in this pack and plenty of ammo.... Water, and a Baseball bat and crowbar." *Breezy Tune looks at Gloom inquisitively* "Would you like any of my things? I have a weapon for you if you feel safer with one by your side. Oh and also.... Could I bring some of your food with me? I need food to bring with me."

"huh" said Tarot as she watched the monsters disappear. "well in that case, it seems like im no longer WANTED" she yelled outside of the shack before stomping away. She decided to head to her little shack not too far from here. She grumbled as she passed other ponies, who looked at her strangely. Not too many of them associated with Tarot. She was considered the wierd neighbor around the area.

Gloom pulls his knife from the wall.and sheaths it. "Only weapon I need kid.And just cause you got a lot of them,  don't makes you a fighter. You ever  had any real training. Sure, anyone can shoot a gun, or swing a bat or crowbar. But it takes real skill to handle a knife and nothing more. And sure you can have some of my food, but answer this question first." Gloom gets in Breezys face and looks at him with his lifeless gold eyes. "You ever killed another being?"

Blast and Light were still looking out the windows at that big, black void in the sky.

"But that portal is still there, Blast." Light stated. "We can't feel it, but it's slowly draining the planet of all of it's good and it's becoming a part of his empire. We need to close it before it's too late."

"I umm.... I...... When I first moved here.... This very crowbar" *Shows Gloom the bloodstains on his crowbar* "Somepony tried to kill me..... He was pointing that very Colt Anaconda at me" *Points to the Colt Anaconda on the table* "I just got so angry and... I picked up a crowbar on the floor and I just ran up to him and hit him with it.... Again.... Again..... And again" *Breezy gulps and a tear falls from his eye* "Then I just cried. I sat there in the train and cried for hours and hours.... It was the first time I had killed somepony." *More tears fall from his eyes* "I got up from crying hours later and took the bloodstained Colt Anaconda just in case another pony like him confronted me. Then I just ran to my apartment ." *Breezy Tune sits down* "That's it. That's the first time I killed somepony.... You happy now?"

The White pegasus who had fought Hirue was looking at the same void. "Damn near unpleasant wind wind be filling the air now." He mumbled to himself. "Not much good to be coming from a fretting, though, or so I'd say." He kept up and spread his wings, flying higher above the city.

Blast walked to Gloom and Breezy. "Sheesh, Gloom, lay off." He turned to Breezy. "Sure. Take some of grumpy's food. I'm sure he won't mind. Oh, in fact..." Blast gives the pony a few energy bars. "I don't think we're gonna need them. Hope you like granola. 'Cuz that' what it is."

"I'm gonna go observe that thing more outside, Blast. I'll be back in a bit." Light exited the house and flew up closer into the void. He made sure he kept himself steady so that he wouldn't be sucked into the blackness. Light sees a white pegasus in the air and flies to him. "You sure you should be up here?"
