MLP vs Dragon Ball Z - which one is the best?

Better morals, better animation by age standards, better written episodes, much better villains, huger franchise, much bigger impact, bigger fandom, amazing and fantastic video games, better and more original characters, better movies...

DBZ is a classic and still my favorite among many anime's ect. but MLP is far better to me personally. DBZ is a completely different type of show in comparison and offers little to me that i value or care for beyond its action and nostalgia..tho honestly after seeing Battle of Gods,it looks like it'll just be nostalgia til further notice.

It looks like they're gonna bring the show back to life with another series, that follows the movie.

I haven't seen much DBZ, but as far as I could tell, it seems to appeal to a great number of people.

It'd be unfair to say one is better than the other, but it all comes down to personal preference in the end, after all, they're both quite different in styles and etc.

Following the Battle of Gods movie(s)?

Yeah, I presses the S accidentally. They're going to follow the Battle of Gods movie, since it's the only one considered canon (by being written by Toriyama and all).

 

They might do some other new movies and we will probably see a bigger extension of the DBZ mythos. The Battle of Gods movie prepared us for bigger challenges and bigger threats for the heroes to overcome, which is awesome.

I have never watched a single episode of DBZ, and I really couldn't be arsed to change that. It really just looks so bland and generic that there's probably no way I'd ever like it.

Dbz and Mlp are two entirely different shows from two entirely different times and entirely different parts of the world. I cannot make a value call on that

 

Now if you put DBZ abridged against Friendship is witchcraft then Tfs blows the competition out of the water hands down.

Well, it's kinda difficult to compare the two as they're so different...

 

...on the matter of preference, I go with FiM as for me it's just a superior show. DBZ is great & all, but it lacks in substance for me at times.

 

Granted I love the villains like Freiza, Garlic Jr., & Cell, but I kinda prefer Sombra, Chrysalis, & Tirek as they didn't overstay their welcome...well, aside from Garlic Jr.

Dragon Ball is way too good. It is a classic that created many ideas that was used in other shows and video games.

MLP hasn't really gotten that popular. There are still fans in the quazillion for DBZ, even long after it ended! I am A huge DBZ fan

I haven't heard of Dragon Ball Z before, so definitely MLP!
