Possible Pony Convention in Japan?

  Okay now we know that MLP has since gotten an international release since it has a huge fanbase. Now from what it seems there are already conventions in Germany (Galacon), UK (BUCK), and several meetups in Taiwan, Ireland, and even other parts of South/Central America.

 

So, now there are Japanese fans (from what it seems) who are planning on their first large meetup in japan. Japan PonyCon is the name of the convention and I guess there's a team running it as well.

Well that's all the info I know. I can't read japanese but this info was from someone who knew about it. According to their twitter account, of course.

I could expect a pony convention in Japan, but for now it's possible. Since they aired the episodes of the show in Japan, I wouldn't be surprised at all of the fans in Japan. So for now, let's assume that there will be a convention there.

Japan loooooooooves cute things.  When I think of the Japanese language one of the first words that comes to mind is "kawaii".  I'd be way more surprised if they didn't love the hell out of MLP honestly, despite it being more of a children's cartoon.

A brony convention in Japan? Now that would be interesting to see. I've heard a lot of interesting things coming from the international series and it's fanbase over there. 

 

I've always wanted to go to Japan as well, so this brony convention would make it an even more amazing experience! Japanese bronies ftw!

There's conventions of just about anything, so I wouldn't be surprised if one released next year.

Japan having a pony convention. That sounds pretty awesome in all honesty. It is really surprising to think about MLP becoming such a big thing that places all over the world have their own conventions. It still blows me away even to this day. Just wow.
