After placing the posters around town, the mayor would be in her office. It was a large room, with a now gray carpet on the ground. Against the walls were important events from the past, or personalities. Like the Founder of Ponyville, or the last Winter Wrap Up. She herself was seated at the desk, currently filling a few very urgent forms.

 

Outside of the Town Hall was the plaza, a few ponies were scattered around, but they all minded their own business. In the middle of the plaza was the well, and next to it a large board where various things were displayed. There is the famous poster which asks for adventure, but also smaller requests from various town folks needing help with anything possible, anypony approaching this would be able to read them freely. At the bottom of the board was written, "For further information, please contact the Mayor Pony."

Winter sought adventure, and quickly trotted to the Mayor's office in Town Hall. On the way, she looked around, wondering if other ponies were coming...

The doors of the Town Hall were open, and as welcoming as ever, anypony would know that they are always free to enter and visit.

Strong walked into the town hall, the promise of adventure too alluring to pass up. He was quite curious as to what awaited for him...

The mayor heard hoofsteps inside and would peek her head out of the office, she would see two ponies and smiled, and completely got out of it. "Hello there Mr. Hooves and Mr. Revo. Is there anything I can do for you?"

Lionheart was taking a stroll at the town square when a big poster caught his eye "What this?" He though to himself as he walked closer to it. "Exploring new place? What kind of place and what kind of reward ? " He quickly though. "No you need to fight the urge Lionheart ...but but whoo knows what may it be...only one way to find out" He though continues strolling as he read further that ponies interested should visit the mayor.

 

Without a losing a moment Lionheart galloped to the city hall where the mayor would be. Upun arriving Lionheart found that he wasn't alone. "Of course competition." He though as he passed by them. "I wonde though maybe this isnt a competition maybe it a collaboration..well whatever we will see." He though as he went in a corner and spoke. "Well it seems there are quite a few people darefull enough to come here." A bit of irony was visible at his tone but only on experience ears. "Mrs mayor may I ask what that adventure may be?"

"yes, i saw your poster, i would like to know more"

Dichromate skidded to a halt in front of the town hall. He couldn't even remember how he had managed to be here, the adrenaline was pounding through his brain as he tried to regain his breath.

That's right, I'm supposed to pin up something on the bulletin my friend. I really shouldn't be stopping to sightsee.

He took the note, which was a flyer for a new business his friend had opened, and went over to the bulletin to pin it up.

As he finished, he finally stopped to read the others. His eyes traveled to the bottom, and he read the single sentence.

"Ehh, why not, I'll ask what's going on," he thought, always curious to know what was happening. He took off in the direction of the town hall.

The Mayor nodded, "I thought so. Well, if you would follow me.", she turned around and would make a gesture to follow them. If Dichromate was there in time he would have heard all this.

 

As she entered her Office again she would quickly close the book that was on the table and place it under it, probably just putting it away. "Come in! Come in!", she would call out to anypony still outside. Once inside she would wait for everypony to gather.

Winter saw that she had been beaten to the Mayor's office by two other ponies. "Hey, colts..." she said in a seductive voice, "Mind if I go ahead of you?" A sinister smile appeared on her face. She hoped that she could be the one to go on the adventure...

"Hey, hey!" said Dichromate cheerfully, racing into the city hall and tripping over a potted plant in his eagerness. "Oops, sorry..." he picked himself up and shook off the dust. "That wasn't a very good impression, was it? So what's going on, Mayor?"

The Mayor chuckled, "Ponies... please calm down, there is no need for competition. After all this is not a race.", she would still wait for everyone to enter though.

Colt followed the mayor when winter came up to him and asked to go infront of him "i see what your trying to do" colt jokingly remarked "if you want to come with thats fine"

Lionheart entered the room after obderving everyone else. He watched and listened as the mayor said it wasnt a compettiotion "I knew it" He though. "Let me guess we will al work together to find something then get back here and give it you or something along those lines am I right?" His eyes strayed and looked around the room. "This wasn't as exciting as I hoped." He mumbled.

 

"Well whatever tell us what it I need to find. Cause it seems this will be over quickly." He's tone betrayed that he was kinda bored about. the case now even though he had no clue what was about to come

Scarlet walked into town hall as the ponies gathered for the competition. "Excuse me" everypony looks at him. "uhh... Are there any judges to this competition? I looked at the flier and thought It would be nice to judge a friendly competition... if it's OK"

 

Oh. Wait. Derp moment I'm not good at this. I joined forums yesterday. Sorry everypony.

Strong looked to Lionheart with a raised eyebrow, looking at the pony, slightly down as he was a good deal taller, he said "Someone seems a little uninterested coming here, whats with the attitude?" he asked LionHeart.

Lionheart spoke in a slight ironic and sarcastic tone"oooh tough guy If I was uninterested I wouldn't be here in the first maybe you should use that brain of your a little bit more than only working those hoofs-adjusting his hat- Anyway what I am saying is that I am believing that this is going to be a fetch quest. Which if I am correct will not be as exciting as I hoped for nothing more, nothing else but still my curiosity always wins." Lionheart sighted as he removed his hat with his magic and let if fall back now hanging at the back of his neck. and then scrached his head with his hoof.

 

"So any other comments on my attitude ?" He said toning the attitude in a sarcastic tone. "Cause yea I can talk all day and ruin everyponies day here. " He finished with a smile

The Mayor frowned, "Please, calm down, negative attitude is not needed and would probably hinder the project.."

 

She then took out an old map of Ponyville from under her desk.

It was not very detailed, but the forest appeared clearly on it.

 

The Mayor started to explain: "So as you probably all know, Nightmare Moon had been defeated here.", she put her hoof on the small castle look alike in the forest, "We then later also transported Discord there, we didn't want him to be in the middle of Ponyville. He is a... disgrace to ponies to look at.", she paused for a moment, "You all here, will be tasked to go there, check the statue, and if needed hide it. I don't want anypony to worship that thing...", she managed to say the last part with some kind of disgust.

"wait, there are ponies...who worship discord?" Colt asked very suprised

The Mayor would nod, "Yes... indeed, some believe that Chaos is the way for Ponykind. I am normally tolerating different believes, but this is way too dangerous to ignore."

Scarlet enters the room "did somepony say discord? My sisters defeated him before Luna turned evil. I haven't heard that name since. Why don't we just destroy it instead of hide it?"
