i'm new to this form of RP. So i don't quite understand why you guys @ each other on some post, and don't on others

Usually it's done to show that you're interacting with someone's character. I'm not sure about other people but when I'm typing a post on a computer I do it but without memorizing the code for doing it I don't really have that luxury on the phone. Unless I've missed that feature on the mobile version of the site.

When you quote a post that @ mentions someone, if you don't delete the @ mention part, it sends the person another mention notification, which can be very annoying for that person. Just something to keep in mind.

Just to let you guys know, i'll be adding something in that will change the RP a bit. 

Everything will be the same in the end - and you guys wont even know it's changed, but it'll be a behind the scenes thing. 

 

Let's just take a walk in the woods for example. 

Our group is walking through the woods peacefully when *dice roll* -BAM- we get attacked by *dice roll* diamond dogs! 

See where i'm going with this? 

What i'm going to do is have set points where there will be a chance for us to, at some point - no specifics, get attacked by a random group of creatures. Basically this is in addition to a couple of set pieces we'll encounter. Just letting you know what's going to happen, but fear not - nothing will change

 

 

 

What difference that makes, I don't know.

It makes a difference to me, because i'd like to know if people are competent in their RP'ing abilities or not, that's all. Some people might need a bit more leeway than others.  

 

If any of you are interested, I added an extra spoiler tag in the original post explaining my entire plan for how encounters are going to work out.

There is also a list of most monsters/hostiles we may be fighting during this adventure - i'd say it's worth taking a look and letting me know what you think, I certainly had a lot of fun making up the creatures

It's okay. I've been roleplaying for quite some time but I've been sticking to a specific roleplay for a while. I've even ran my own roleplays some time ago and I've been signing up for other roleplays lately.

The boss monsters will only have a chance to "spawn" in certain environments, and they'll only ever spawn once each, so keep that in mind

Sooooooo......I will be gone starting next Thursday for nine days...with no internet access, which means I will not be able to post...at all.
This has happened before and all the RP's I was in...I couldn't really join back in, so what I was thinking is...if the RP is still going, Violet could leave the group for some reason and return later or something...there's a rockslide and she gets stuck on the other side or something, I dunno.

Well, we do have one member who has yet to make a single post, and it looks like Flame Dancer (you will always be Flame Dancer, no matter how many times you change your name) will be leaving us shortly hereafter. 

If you still want to join, post an application and we'll think of a way to get you into the RP. We're currently on the move away from the original meeting place, I think your best bet would be to make up something about being nearby, and we'll stop the carriages and be all like "Erhmagherd!"

Sorry there's not been much to go on at the minute everyone, i've thankfully been managing to get back daily to keep up with the RP, but i've been pretty tired lately and but I don't want to move us on too much if i'm not going to be here properly to manage it all, so i've been leaving it to you guys to talk between yourselves. 

 

It'll pick up soon though, college isn't till tuesday, so i'll be able to manage the next few days a little better.
