You are hereby invited to an informal gathering at the esteemed Buckbury Hall of Canterlot in celebration of a reunion of two fine siblings.

 

Please attend before the hour turns seven pm at the date attached: you may bring guests, but please attend no later than the seventh hour.

 

We hope to see you promptly.

The Mystery of Buckbury Hall.

"Uh, Scribe? Don't you think this place is a little... big?" Asked Wish Scribe as she stood beside her older brother looking up at the building in front of her: it was huge - according to the letter they had received it consisted of thirty rooms over three floors.

 

The unicorn laughed a little.

 

"Yeah I guess so. Still, if someone wants to give us somewhere to relax, who am I to refuse?" He answered, making his way towards the building.

 

"Who owns it? Who did you invite? Do you even have friends?" The young mare asked teasingly, hopping out of reach as her brother took a joking swing at her. "Hey! I can fight back now, you know?" 

 

"Yes, I have friends, for your information." He smiled. "Whoever owns the place didn't want to give his name: the letter just said he would take care of everything - that we should just arrive and wait for the guests."

 

The pair reached the large, heavy doors: Wish tried to push at them out of curiosity with little success. The entire building looked like it could survive a small explosion with its thick, solid walls and dense wooden details.

 

Scribe looked at the huge doors for a moment.

 

"Guess it's a good job they're already open." He shrugged and smiled warmly as they made their way inside.

Storm

 

"INCOMING!"  Storm shouted, crashing into the window.  After rubbing her forehead a little from the impact, Storm flew down to the doors. "I meant to do that; I totally saw those doors open!" Storm said, pridefully, trotting into the house with her head high.

Frost stepped out of the carriage that had brought him from his home to this.....palace, or at least that is how he pictured it. "Celestia, this place is...HUGE!" he thought to himself staring up at the marvelous piece of architectural magesty. "I'm must not have been the only pony invited.....or at least I HOPE. I thought this would be a great place to pick up my special somepony." he continued smiling as he walked through the doors to the large house.

Tempest sighed as he and Ivy trotted towards Buckbury Hall. "This had better be worth it." Tempest muttered under her breath. The cyan pegesus then remembered that he was with Ivy and smiled. "Yeah, it was worth it."

 

Ivy smiled nuzzled Tempest. "Thanks for coming with me." She said. "You could use a little fun."

 

Tempest smiled returned the affection as the two entered the mansion.

Blaze came to the house cautiously. He was skeptical about this party. He had little friends, and the small amount he had knew that he wasn't exactly one for parties. But the mystery of the letter had intrigued him. So he slowly walked in, looking aorund at the massice size of the building. He whistled lowly and looked around for the hosts.

Hearing one particularly loud voice, followed by a number of others, Scribe and Wish both turned and looked back towards the entrance hall with mixed facial expressions.
 
'Who the hay are they?' Scribe wondered. 'Some folks I don't remember? Or maybe the guy sent out a public invitation or something?'
 
"You actually do have friends? More than two of them?" Said Wish with a grin.
 
"Uh... No. Not them anyway. I guess its an open invitation." The stallion shrugged as they wandered back to greet the guests.

"Uh, hey everyone!" The Unicorn said somewhat awkwardly before deciding that he might as well make the most of this and feigning confidence. "Thanks for coming! Uh, I guess I don't really know all of you but I'm Scribe, this is my sister Wish and, uh, apparently someone we all know somehow thought it would be a good idea to invite us all here. Heck of a place isn't it?"

Solar Sentinel

 

As Solar arrives at the big old mansion in the old part of Canterlot. "Wow! This place looks older than Canterlot Castle," The stallion said as he looked over the building from the outside. "This place is built like a fort. Well, I better get this over with..," as he takes off his guard helmet and looks again at the invitation he had placed underneath it. "This is definitely the place," as he walks into the main chamber of the large old mansion. He was hoping not to draw attention to himself, standing not far from where he had entered. His armor freshly shined, seeing as he had just began his leave no more than 15 minuets before arriving.

Tempest glanced at Scribe and shrugged. "It doesn't seem that bad." He said. "The only question is, who invited us. It's a bit strange, if you ask me. Anyway, you can call me Tempest."

 

Ivy smiled and nodded. "I'm Ivy." She said. "As for the locked rooms, they're probably just bedrooms that whoever is hosting the party doesn't want to get ruined."

"Oh my gosh! You don't know us, but you invited us anyway! I feel so special!" Storm said cheerfully, flying up. "It could be a mystery! Are you a spy?" Storm said, smiling. "I bet you're wondering why I gathered you here today!" Storm said, appearing next to Scribe and imitating his voice, laughing afterwards.

Solar Sentinel

Solar was slowly making his way to the group of ponies that had managed to show up. From what he could tell, nopony knew anypony else. He finally makes his way up to who he assumes is the host of the party. He just stood there for the moment, trying to think of what he could say to start a conversation. That's when he noticed the hosts armor.

"Um....you know we don't use that kind of armor anymore." Solar had a half smile. He was trying to make small talk. "So...Lovely house you got here. This place is built better than Canterlot Castle...and almost as big."

 

He waited a few moments before working up the nerve to introduce himself. "I'm Solar Sentinel, but eveypony just calls me Solar."

Scribe blanked for a moment as the mare fluttered next to him, mouth slightly open as she mimicked him.

 

"Hah!" Laughed Wish. "You do a better impression than me!" She tittered at her brothers stunned reaction.

Scribe relayed the information he had been given after another moments stunned silence. "It's not my house though, I don't even know who invited us: he's got to know us all somehow though, I guess."

 

"It's nice to meet everypony," as Solar addressed the group. "So I wonder who's place this is?..and why they're throwing a huge party for you? It's almost too good."

 

Solar looked around at the ponies that had gathered. All of them were new to him until he recognized somepony. "Tempest? Sir? What are you doing here?" Solar had only briefly met Tempest during his orientation into the guard, however he left a lasting impression on the young Solar. When Solar had been chosen to be in Celestia's guard, It was the last time he saw the pegasus.He had no idea how to react to seeing an officer of Luna's guard outside the castle.

"Hurray, impressions!" Storm squee'd, smiling at the stallion. "OH! I almost forgot my name! My name's Storm! Nice to meetcha! I hope we have a LOT of fun here!" Storm said, hopping around Scribe. "I hope I don't freak you out; my parents always said I'm too hyper!" Storm said, shaking her head.

Frost decided it was in his best interest if he would mingle with the other ponies. He eavesdropped on a few conversations when he heard a familiar name. "Tempest?" he said as he turned around to see his old friends Tempest and Ivy. After they had first met Frost had done a few weapons deals with the Lunar Gaurs with the help of Tempest, and it was good to see him again. "Hey Tempest, Ivy! Long time no see how yah been?" he asked with a smile.

Fire walked towards the house, more like a mansion really. She had gotten a letter as an invite but she had no idea who invited her, but she was used to the anonymous invitations she would get from ponies. She knew that she was slightly late but she had hoped that its wouldn't have been much of a bother. 

Fire Sharp walked into the mansion, looking at the small gathering already there.

"Uh... Hey Storm..." Scribe managed to say through his bewilderment at the thought that somehow he had managed to find a pony more hyperactive than Pinkie Pie. "Nice to meet you too. Don't worry about it."

 

His head was starting to spin slightly as the mare bounced around him.

 

'Vengeful Celestia, she's got wings! As if an earth pony wasn't hyper enough!' Said a deadpan voice in his head.

Giggling to herself at her brothers plight, Wish decided to leave him to his own devices for a while: it was too funny watching him struggle to speak to the bouncy mare for her to intervene. Instead, she trotted over to greet the newcomer.

 

"Hey! I'm Wish, thanks for coming. Uh, do we know you? I don't think we've known anypony who's arrived yet." She said in a cheerful tone - it didn't matter to her, she wouldn't have known anypony anyway.

Fire smiled and the excited pony,  she wasn't that much of an excited pony what she could handle others that were like that.

"Though, if you don't know who organised this then how do you know I was a guest. I could have been the host."

Fire smiled again, she was trying to pull a funny  but she had no idea if it worked.

"If you are then you probably shouldn't have told me - that's a terrible way to stay anonymous." The mare smirked ever so slightly. "Uhm, come in! Not that we could really stop you if we wanted to, have you seen those doors? I couldn't even budge them!"

 

Trying to act as host (In the absence of the actual host) for a gathering was tough: especially for ponies she had never met in a house she had never visited. Still, Wish took it all in good humor.

 

"That's my brother Scribe, the confused looking one. I think the Pegasus talking at him is called Storm. And there's... Tempest, Ivy, Frost, Solar and... huh, I don't know his name." She said, motioning to each of the ponies in turn, finishing on Blaze Finder.

"Ahah, well, let's get going to explore this place! I need a sense of adventure!" Storm said cheerfully, taking Scribe's hoof and taking off down a hallway. "Ooh! I hope they have a pool here.. are there any rooms we sleep in? Any kitchens? There has to be SOMETHING!"

Tempest smiled as he noticed Frost. He then shrugged as he put a wing over Ivy. "Nothing much, old friend." He said. "So, what have you been up to?"

 

Ivy glanced at Frost and nodded. "It's good to see you, Frost." She said. "Tempest's been a bit to busy with work, so I decided to step in and make him come to the party."

'Uh... Are we being kidnapped?' Scribes mind echoed in a somewhat bored tone: a stark contrast to how he actually felt as the mare almost pulled him off his hooves and dragged him along through the hall.

 

"Woah! Uh... I think..." He blustered. "What are we looking for exactly? A swimming pool?"

 

Managing to stop stumbling, he simply allowed himself to be dragged away: unsure of exactly what else he should do.

Blaze walked around the room cautiously, then finished his rotation standing near Wish Scribe. He had seen her with a stallion that looked very similar to her, so Blaze assumed they were the hosts. "Um... hi. I'm Blaze Finder... Are you one of the hosts?" Blaze spoke nonchalant, his pupils darting around his eyes as he scanned the place, seemingly avoiding Wish completely

Blaze shifted his gaze directly at Wish and smiled. "Ace. It's a pleasure, Wish. I thought the whole anonymous invitation thing was weird. I honestly don't know why I came though. I'm not exactly one for parties." Blaze laughed awkwardly and looked around the room once again. He was very interested about what the third was hiding. He had a feeling they weren't just nice rooms that the owner didn't want to have messed up...

Solar Sentinel

When Solar heard that one of the hosts was near, he immediately headed over in that direction to introduce himself.

"Hello! I'm Solar Sentinel. Thankyou for inviting me to this party. I've never really been invited to much in my life. I...."

 

He eyes finally met with Wish Scribe's. His heart fluttered for a bit, and wings shot up. He immediately turned to orange pegasi in the group, trying to think of anything to take his mind off the mare. He stood there a few moments trying to collect his thoughts, before looking back a wish. "Your beautiful" as he immediately face hoofs. Did he really just say that out loud.

 

He looks back to Blaze. "Um...Nice weather we're having in Canterlot today." as he looks back at wish. His face red.

 

"So dose anypony know anypony else here? I think I recognize that one pegasi over there from Luna's guard." as he was trying to take attention away from what he had said earlier to Wish.
