The idea I have for the design of this style is almost like this:

The expression can be the same if you want, but if it is not too much for you I want to be painted, because I never see Blue Arctic painted in your style

Nice Avatar, btw. Me gusta mucho. Anywho, I have two request ideas, but you only have to do one, and its up to you which one you want to do.

 

1) I had an idea for a Griffon. I know you said you havent done any of those in Wings stream the other day, so I figured maybe this would be good practice or experimenting or something, but regardless, your choice not mine. I was thinking a male, bald eagle lookin griffon with the whole mob/mafia look. Tommy Gun, fedora, whole 9 yards.

SO here we have the latest pics from the two streams I did today. I hope everyone can join me tomorrow for my Nightmare Night stream!

 

 

I decided to take it upon myself to learn a thing or two about horse/pony anatomy, it's gonna be something I have to tackle to grow as an artist so here was my first pass and the notes I took.

Oh yes, there will be a super special Nightmare Night stream from myself today at 9pm GMT/UTC until whenever, I'll try to make this a long one so everyone in America can join in at some point too.

What costume would you like the Mane Six to dress up in? Any ensembles for the Cutie Mark Crusaders? And if there's any characters from the show who need some exposure let's try to give them an awesome makeover!

as I'm GMT/UTC that's dead centre so if you're GMT-1 the 9pm stream here would be 8pm there. If you're GMT-5 (like in some parts of America) it would be 4pm.

Attention all, please. I am in need of opinions!

 

So I’m going to structure my commissions from now on, and as such I need to set prices. Now this is where you all come in, you’re familiar with my work, you know that I value your opinion so do you think that these prices are reasonable?

 

Now the thing is my mind works in pounds sterling so setting prices in dollars meant taking the exchange rates into account. I’ll be paid in canadian dollars, then those are converted into USD and sent to me, where I convert them into GBP. It’s a headache to be sure but the site is in Canada so it’s unavoidable and my previous cuts have been sent to me in US dollars :\

 

So what this all means is that if I’m paid $10, for example, I’ll get $8.50 with the site’s cut and then $8.50 is £5.30 British currency.

 

Don’t let this pressure you of course, it’s not ideal but I’m not a shameless money-grubber. If the consensus is that this is too much I’ll lower my prices.

Wow guys, Wing actually recorded an album, dude's got mad skills!

 

Here's a thing I did for Daylight's owner. He requested a pic of Daylight r63 (reversal of gender) or a pic of Daylight and Cheerilee so, me being me, I drew Cheerilee seducing a female Daylight. I was so happy with the lineart I decided to try something new and add colour to one of my detailed sketches, and here's how it turned out.

 

 

There were some teething problems with the angle and proportions so I tried again and came up with this one:

 

 

I haven't charged for this pic (since I did it all on my own) but I thought I'd share it here and breakdown the price incase somepony would like something similar.

 

So here we have a detailed sketch of two characters ($8 +$3), just one layer of flat colour since the detailed sketch has its own shadows and highlights (+$5 +$4) and a quick background using Cheerilee's colour sheme (+$5). Total price = $25

Also, I know that I'm kinda laying on the whole commission thing thickly, it's just that I'm slowly getting into a hole financially and my previous attempt at a commission thread fell on its face what with it having no structure and my being all over the place quality-wise. I've taken time to thoroughly think it through and maybe now I can give people what they want in a more reliable and affordable way.

Sorry for the gap between posts, It's a busy world I live in it seems.

 

What have I been up to recently!?

 

 

Well for starters I'm setting up a new "Ask Applejack" blog I'm calling "Southern Belle AJ" (check out the thread, I need help making it, specifically a programmer who can rework the HTML on a tumblr blog ¬.¬ )

 

 

As you can see, Southern Belle AJ will be my own personal take on the character design and will have a light hearted yet arty approach to the blog's answers.

 

Next up I had a commission or two to get through, I'm trying my hardest to improve my skills as quick as possible, and that means backgrounds and new lighting/shading/colouring techniques!

 

THEN it was about time for another CasyxDilarus crossover so Casy finished up the Discord pic I sent her a while ago

 

 

WHEN SUDDENLY Casy asked me if I could draw her a pic of Luna for our next crossover, I came up with this sketch and Casy insisted we get to work on the actual pic ASAP!

I freaking love this pic, Casy really outdid herself on both the moon and Luna's spectacular mane! We even submitted it to Equestria Daily, fingers crossed we get featured!

 

 

So it's been a great week or so of artistic discovery, of pushing boundaries and really trying with all my might to become the best artist I can be, and with great friends like all of you guys and great artists like Casy to inspire me, I'm beginning to think I just might make it.
