What was your first day of freshman year like?

I live in Australia and new high-school students aren't usually referred to as "freshmen". When I started Year 7 in 2010, things actually went pretty good. The teachers knew everyone was new and started things off slowly to ease everyone in. And the timetable was easy to remember.

I'm pretty sure that you're talking about my secondary school freshman life...

Anyway, I was the one who is the most weirdest and random person during the first week or so. They hated me because they don't understand me quite well... But, as weeks past by, my popularity increased drastically since they realised that I'm actually the hyperactive type.

I'm saying that during the first week, freshman life could be pretty terrible, but as weeks past by, you could be one of those popular kids in the school, if you are only as hyper as me!

Where I grew up, Middle School and High School were the same thing (aptly titled High School), so it was 4 years with no specified 'freshmen' and 'senior' year.

But my first day of high school, all the same, went relatively well.  I met a few people who I became at least friendly acquaintances with and still keep in (very sporadic) touch with.  About the only thing I did "wrong" was misinterpret the bells and head to one of my classes way too early.  And I was almost late for my science class because it took me just about to the last minute to find the room.

First day of college was pretty cool.  Just great settling into an environment specifically tailored to the things that I wanted to learn, with classmates and professors all with a lot of common interests.  I made friends with a couple of the second years before I even said a word to anybody in my own year.

Let's see if I remember last year...
Hmmmm..
I think it went pretty well. I was probably confused about my schedule and spent the whole day comparing mine with friends' to see what classes I would have with them. I met the teachers and stuff. I worried too much before the year. My good friends had all left so I thought I was going to have a bad year but it was okay. I mean I found people to talk to. Oh yeah this is about the first day.
Yeah I'm pretty sure it was good.

It was awesome because the school was HUGE! I had classes upstairs and downstairs so it was kind of a challenge having to navigate myself during the first week. But everything turned out great in the end. I loved my school, and I didn't really make any new friends on my first day, but I got to meet up with some of my old eighth grade buddies and we helped each other out. I still remember that day and how awesome it was to finally be a freshman :D At my school, they call us fishies so it was really weird yet cool calling each other that.
