So, my local radio station went to the Brony Fan Fair in Austin...

Dudley and Bob is a 20+ year running radio show for Austin, TX.  They sent some of their staff to interview the guests of the Brony Fan Fair that ran this weekend.  The results were...less than kind.  Figured you guys would get a giggle.

Heheh, are you from Austin yourself? Cool show. I didn't go to the convention due to time constraints and other reasons.

What a surprise, they gave the topic of clopping a good amount of time on the air lol. Apparently people don't believe bronies when they say they don't clop. Then again, asking that question will not receive an honest answer all the time.

Some of my giggles:

"Dress up as a Z: I am what's happening when you watch Doctor Who."

"But do you come here to meet girls?"

---"Ohh...heheh.." Be honest with her Jawn!

"I would rather smell Harry Knoll's buttcrack than to be involved in the B.." lol.

Yeah, a few of my friends from across the country actually decided to come for this convention, so I figured it was good to pay a visit. Never saw the guys from the show, though.

Honestly, I don't think a man with a "Les Mis" tattoo is in any position to criticize bronies.

It's a shame, though, they had one more interview where they pitted Daniel, their socially awkward producer against an equally awkward Shining Armor cosplayer. Mustard v. Spaghetti! The ultimate showdown! But those mic noises kept sending Dale off the deep end and stopping the clip before the good stuff.

That was pretty funny, and not even ironically. They weren't exactly sweet, but unlike some radio hosts, they made it pretty clear that the whole thing was in jest. They didn't insult the people they interviewed, they stuck to the facts about clopping, and the girl even made it clear that the con had a very friendly atmosphere.

Overall, I'd say it was nice.

Meh. They weren't really attacking bronies but they were more or less poking fun at them. Poking fun and attacking are quite different. I can deal considerably better with the former.

Pretty funny.  I especially like how the guy asked about the logic of calling it "clopping".  He has a point: if you were actually shagging a pony, they'd be standing still, right?  So...they wouldn't be making the walking sound.  Or something.

I don't recall saying that they attacked bronies, but hey, whatever. I'm just glad others are getting a chuckle out of this.

A friend of mine, who does sketch a little clop on the side, does take pleasure in being labeled a ROGUE ANIMATOR, though.
