Looking for Pony and Non-Pony OCs

Okay, so...  I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this thread (if not, mods/admins will move it to the appropriate thread, I'm sure), but I am here looking for people who have original characters of unusual races / species and would like to volunteer them to make short appearances in a fanfiction I'm planning on writing sometime between now and Christmas.

 

The general storyline:  The Cosmic Owl (yes, I did just make that Adventure Time reference, don't be hatin') has called for representatives of all the major races from Equestria and surrounding lands (I may need to think of a name for their planet, because I don't think it actually has one canonically...) to gather in a peaceful meeting at the top of a mountain, an ancient tradition that fell out of practice somewhere around a thousand years ago, when Princess Celestia was just a filly.  When the appointed representatives reach the meeting place, though, they suddenly remember why they don't get along so well and seem to have a bit of trouble seeing past each other's differences.

 

Below is a list of the races that I hope to have represented and whether I need characters to fill them.  If I've missed a race or species that should be on the list, please let me know.  If you have characters that you'd like to see in my story, please post a request here in this thread.

 

PONIES

Alicorns - obviously, Celestia and Luna will be filling these spots (I still haven't decided whether I want this story to take place before or after Twilight's transformation)

Unicorns - Mane 6, got it covered

Pegasi - Mane 6, got it covered

Earth Ponies - Mane 6, got it covered

Crystal Ponies - I really need some crystal pony OCs to fill in this space.

 

NON-PONIES

Zebras - Zecora will be in attendance, but she will be travelling as a guest and not as a rep, so I need some zebra OCs to fill in this space, por favor.

"Bat Ponies" - (I don't like that these guys don't have an official name, so I think I may come up with one of my own.)  I need some of these, so if you have a "bat pony" OC, I'd appreciate it if he or she volunteered for this spot.

Changelings - I think I have permission from Niaeruzu to use Suncloak here, but I need to check to make double sure.  Additionally, I need some changelings who are still loyal to the queen, preferably royal guards.

Gryphons - There will be a gryphon king and queen in my story, but I haven't really given much thought to their characterizations yet, so if you happen to have a gryphon character who is royal, could I please use him or her for this position?  I'd be grateful.

Dragons - The ancient dragons need cool names.  Younger dragons are also welcome.  

Donkeys - I already have a noble family of donkeys in mind (Lord and Lady Ass...  try not to giggle), but additional donkey characters welcome, as well as suggested names for the Ass children. (hey, I said try not to giggle!)

Buffaloes - I want Little Strong Heart and Chief Thunderhooves to be there, but I would also like to see some buffalo OCs.

 

Yes... this is going to be one hell of a party.  xP

Again, I apologize if I accidentally left out any important groups.  Please post your characters if you have them.  I don't need any alicorns or unicorns, so please don't post those.  

 

Any other story-related suggestions are welcome too.

Crystal Pony? I have two OCs named Traverse and Strata, both Crystal pony surface surveyors and cartographers for land near the Crystal Empire. Both mares, the former is 35 and the latter is 27. They ride in a scientific observation helium balloon.

 

I also came up with a foreign bat pony stallion who's in his early 20s. (23, to be accurate.) He's Aatos Kramnik; he's technically Russo-Finnish. A lone wolf hunter who collects money by shooting animals and trading them with gryphons for their hide, fur, meat, and head.

 

That's all I got. I actually suggest you make up your own, since there might be issues with people who don't like how their OCs is portrayed or what role they're in.

If you still need changelings, you can use Pacific I guess. Just read his profile so you can hopefully make his character more accurate (But anything you do is fine I guess)

I do agree that it would be better if I just made them up, but when I took a step back and looked at what I was going to be needing, I was just all like "Holy cow, that's a lot of characters to make up...  Hey, I wonder if I can just insert some OCs in here like background ponies."  I do kind of worry about possibly offending people by getting their characters wrong, but I had hoped to avoid that by making their roles so simple and short that they wouldn't have a chance to do anything very out of character.  -shrugs-

 

I have one question about your bat pony, just out of curiosity (although it doesn't really have anything to do with the story).  If he has hooves, how does he shoot?  Does he have some sort of specialized weapon with a trigger that doesn't require fingers?  I am now intrigued.

He uses a straight pulling bolt action rifle, which is open loaded and makes it more convenient to pull. Though triggers in reality are too small for a pony to use, they find alternatives like larger triggers (mostly for earth ponies since they require more force to pull), crank triggers, trigger pulling mechanism on the hoof (a fake finger, really), and/or lever trigger. Aatos uses the lever trigger (the mechanism is the same as a normal trigger since the trigger is supposed to go downward when pulled to push the inside pin, ejecting the bullet) to shoot.

 

A pegasus/bat pony generally has more freedom when it comes to shooting stances. They can either crouch to shoot with both hooves, stand, or fly to achieve the same goal. Alternatively, they can stabilize it and point shoot with one hand, the stock reducing some recoil. Sometimes a "hoof stock" is used, where the gun stock is tied onto the hoof. Some recoil mitigated firearms can be held by the mouth, though this action is barely done due to risk of jaw dislocation.

 

His rifle can shoot nearly up to a kilometer effectively, uses .22 or .25 caliber rifle cartridges, and has a 3.5x detachable Germane (German) telescopic sights. Its iron sights can be moved around to suit range shooting. Overall, his hunting rifle is fitted with modern equipment from the far north. (Gryphon Cossacks, anyone?) And yes, stuff equivalent to 1940s tech is modern.

 

Aatos's Equestrian name will be Cloud Chamber - his name was originally implied to be a weather storage, but his talent was instead hunting game. He joined the Lunar Guard for a year or two, but quit, believing that his heart wasn't in military services but in shooting with his favorite rifle (which he had kept in a good state for about ten years). After that, he became a hunter for hire, shooting wild game for money.

 

He's quite brash and disrespectful, along with a disregard of manners, such as eating food with a survival knife or wiping food on his hooves. He is, however, resourceful, sharp, and having some sense of justice. For example, he doesn't cheat with his clients and never hunts illegally or illegitimately. Aatos knows how to make traps and detect animals. He always goes through a ritual of thankfulness and request for forgiveness; ironically, he doesn't believe in ancestral gods.

I really like the name Cloud Chamber.  Why does he have two names?  (another curiosity, lawl)
