[Aurora Lights 206]

Aurora blinked and glanced at the scars around her wings,he then took a second and a thrid galnce,he looks in he eys silently,she could see dissapointment and sadness well in the deep,multi-colored depths,he looked back forward and blinked,he looked to the sky,searching for Orion's Belt,he found it and traced it with his hoof,he then found the Constellation "Destruction" he traced that too and he sighed,he looked back down and sighed,he had to confront her about the Scars,he walked away,knowing she would follow.

As Shining Midnight walked through the tunnel, he could hear whispers. They sounded like whispers that could be intentionally heard as well, so he decided to go towards them. When he came to a wall, it disappeared and on the other side of it two ponies were standing. One was an Alicorn, the other a Pegasus. He recognised them almost immediately, but couldn't remember their names. Shining asked "What're your names again?". The Pegasus replied "I'm Spirit Watcher. One of the fastest flyers in this galaxy." She then points to the Alicorn "That's DJ Alicorn, most powerful Alicorn you'll ever meet." Shining replies with "Oh, right! Was a nifty hidden cave entrance you had there that I fell through. Intentionally let me in?". The Pegasus replied "Of course! Although we hadn't expected that derpy pegasus to fall in.". Shining looked around and hadn't seen any supplies. "Where's your supplies?". The Pegasus replied "Don't have any. Whatever we find we either get rid of or use right away. Don't ever need them, they just slow us down." Shining then looks at DJ and then back to Spirit and says "Did something happen to him? Why isn't he talking as much as he used to?" Spirit looked at DJ and said "There was this incident about 5 months back. There was this Ursa Major that had cut his throat open and disabled his voice before he had gotten rid of it. He can talk, and his voice sounds like it used to now, he just has other ponies talk for him. He can still speak telepathically though." Shining then points to the direction he came "Well you guys can join the group of ponies I'm with if you'd like. They have guns and a bit of food, they're slow but they get to places kinda quick and a few of them know what they're doing." Spirit looks at DJ, then to toward the way Shining came, then back to DJ, then to Shining "DJ says he would like to, but he doesn't want to be seen so he's going to go up invisible. Don't mention him, alright? He wants to see if the Alicorn in the group will notice him or not, as he has his magic power way down." Shining replies with "Alright, well I'm going ot need a lift up." They head back to the entrance of the cave, DJ Alicorn disappears, and Spirit gives Shining a lift out of the cave. Shining walks over to Aurora and says "Looks like we got another pony in our group." Spirit inspects Aurora, analyzing him with her eyes "RGAF Sharpshooter if I'm not mistaken. by the looks of your eyes I see that you can see at night and see heat signatures. I guess you'd do for a good leader... for now. I'm Spirit Watcher, fastest flyer in the Galaxy. I can scout out area's in a blink of an eye and search for supplies in a blink of an eye. But I wont carry supplies, as they slow me down too much." Spirit inspects the rest of the ponies in the group "That derpy pony who fell in the cave entrance... A merc... An Alicorn... A new member, I can tell by your looks that you just got here... And the normal pony... Hmm, odd group but it'll do." Shining then see's a glimpse of DJ Alicorn but nobody else does. He acts as though he didn't see anything.

Aurora blinks and looks at Spirit,he sighs and nods "welcome to the group...take a nap...its almost dusk...we don't have much more time..."he says,looking to Derpy and Lyra,who were still sleeping soundly,he sighed and looked away,slowly walking off into the dense woods,he used his NV sense to guide himself,then the thermal to make sure he could track his way back. Aurora was wondering if anypony would follow him,besides,he is the leader after all.

Jaeger sat next to Red as Aurora got up to leave. He sat for a moment and then decided to follow. He got up and trotted after Aurora. Once he had caught up he scoffed. "You honestly trust that guy? I mean he has a reason to hate us, you did SHOOT him after all." he said with a serious tone

Red took the gas mask and put it besides him.

"I'm Redstorm... or just Red for short."

Slowly and painfully, the pegasus got up and started limping towards his weapon and saddlebags. He saw Aurora walk into the forest and one of the other ponies went after. Red could hear dim voices, but was too tired to go after them.

A shadow was watching the group from nearby. It was just standing there, not seeming to care about what was going on. It had stood there from the start.

"These guys give me a bunch of ideas...." It muttered and dissapeared into the darkness.

Aurora said,in a rather dark tone, "I don't...I'm waiting for him to slip up...if he does...I'll feed him to the Manticores..."he says,still walking,he stopped and turned around,following his heat trail and he sighs as he sees Red start towards his saddle bag,he sits at the edge of the woods and watches him,just as that shadow.

Jäger walked up next to Aurora and stood there still facing the way he came. He looked over his shoulder at Red. "Well is that the screw up you were waiting for? He will just die on his own. It's his choose." he said turning his gaze back to Aurora. "Or intervene, that's your choose." he finished.

Sparkshower had followed him, but luckily for her the other conversations got in the way of him confronting her. She didn't really want to talk about the scars. Yeah, don't want him to know just how worthless you really are.

(OOC: @@RedStorm I hope that the dark shadow watching the group isn't my OC. If he is you better edit it so that Red can't even see him, as it's supposed to be.)

 

Shining Midnight, as always, decides to stay up and watch over everypony. In the cave it was too dark for him to see, that's why he used his horn as a torch, but out here it's almost bright as day. He could see Aurora watching Red with his eyes, he could see Jäger talking with Aurora, he could see Sparkshower and her scars... He looked around but couldn't see Spirit anywhere... "I watch Spirit's for a living. If I don't want to be seen, I wont be seen." says a voice next to Shining. Shining didn't even jump "Then how come I could see you? Remember, I watch over Equestria for a living." They both chuckle and continue on with what they're doing. Down below DJ Alicorn and his invisible self are magically scanning each pony to see what their strengths and weaknesses are. When he gets to the Alicorn he hesitaties, to see if she senses him or not.

Red gathered his stuff and was starting to head back to camp. He suddenly heard what the two were talking about.

*I'm a screw up? Just because the best sniper in the Equestria shot me? What a bunch of freakin'....* Red began moving again, a sour look on his face. The stop that he made made it kind of obvious that he was listening... Red glanced at Derpy. He didn't mean to hurt the mare, he was just so mad. He shook his head and sat a bit further away from the others.

Jaeger turned his head over to Red, who was giving the indication that he was listening. Jaeger let out a chuckle. "Nono, your not a screw up Red, I worded my statement wrong." he laughed as he walked over to where Red was sitting and sat in front of him. "And just between you and me, saying Auroras the best sniper in Equestria is kinda stretching, since me and him have been fighting over that title since we were foals." he said chuckling a bit as he made eye contact with Red. "So what did you do before this?" he asked

Red looked up to Jaeger.

"Me? I was a racer. Yeah, that's it. When the cold came, I went into the woods, mostly for the edible stuff. Lived here ever since..."

He took out his knife and started making random marks in the snow. Why did that pony even care about him? He should've just killed them all when he had a chance. Even the superpony wouldn't survive a bullet to the face...

Red looked at Jaeger again.

"Seeya." He muttered and dragged his stuff a bit more further from Jaeger.

Aurora blinked and nodded off his friend,Jaeger and he turned to Sparkshower,he sighed in dissapointment "...don't tell me you tried to get rid of them...please don't..."he says,the hurt in his eyes were undeniable.       Derpy woke and stretched,yawning tiredly.     Lyra rolled over and curled back up.

Jaeger looked as Red told his story, with a grimacing look on his face. He watched as Red moved his things farther away from him. He got up and followed, half annoyed. "Look I know you arn't really on good terms with Aurora right now, but that dosent mean you can give this bullshit to the rest of us, Im trying to be kind, break the ice here." he said as he sat down again angerly. He sighed and held out his hoof. "Let's start over, I'm Jaeger. What's your name?" he said trying to smile.

After he got an answer from Sparkshower,he sighed and trotted back,he sat down,off in a distant corner,he swept his gaze over the ponies and he narrowed his eyes, "where's Spirit?"he asked,looking around,he sighed and got back up,paying no mind to the snow fall that started,he looked up at the white flakes,he felt one land on his shoulder and he growled in pain "AHH!! the snow!! come on,its dangerouse!"he yells,putting his mask on.    Derpy gasps and puts hers on quickly,the snow burning her as well,she runs next to Aurora as Lyra was jolted awake,she too put her mask on and ran beside Aurora.

Sparkshower sighed "Look I want you to know that, when I became a princess I didn't really change, sure I had wings and a new job but I was still the same mare in here" she put her hoof to her chest "The real change happened when.." she swallowed and tried again "When you left I begged Celestia and Luna to change me back, they couldn't help me because there is no counter to the alicorn spell. Then I tried to find a way to magically at least remove the wings, I even tried Discord, but because he had sworn allegiance to Celestia the spell had been on the list of things he couldn't do unless somepony was dying. I was in a real Dark place then. So... I... I tried to cut them off, I didn't want them if they meant losing everything. ... Celestia and Lubna stopped me of course, and after that they kept me awayfrom sharp objects for months and put me through therapy, At first they tried Cadence but I couldn't stand the sight of her... it was like rubbing salt in the wound... I'm sorry... I really am." she had never meant to hurt him with it, she had just wanted to get him back

Jäger felt something hit his back, it burned him but he barely moved. He let out a frustrated sigh as he put on his gas mask and turned to Red. "Put that on and follow me, mister racer." he said as he walked over to Aurora and the others, he bumped into Lura and blushed. "So we meet again." he said looking around.

 

((Hey Aurora? Is it cool if there is a love interest between Lyra and Jaeger? Just a thought for if anything happens to either later, or if it could thickin the plot?))

Aurora blinked,as soon as every pony was with him,he started running into the woods,he still used his NV,but he switched to thermal and saw the few snow drops that fell,were extremely hot,this was so odd...did it affect everything?

Jäger ran up next to Aurora who was running rather fast, not that the burning snowflakes werent a good reason, but still. "So now what? We can't just run forever. We will have to find shelter.....soon." he said seriously, breathing heavily a bit, "Is the next town close or what?" he said louder.

Aurora blinked and he nodded "yeah,closest one is about a 100 yards ahead,we need to sprint to a house!"he yells,with that,he lowered his head and sprinted as fast as he could.      Derpy followed right behind him.      Lyra blushed lighty and she too ran like she was being chased by the old Discord.

Sparkshower stepped back "Nuclear winter, that's what's happening. That's acid snow, you guys need to take cover find a place it won't touch you. We need shelter." she closed her eyes trying to think of a spell that would give them a building that would.protect them from the acid snow. She realized that she would have to right one. "a warm hearth we need not, but protection from the acid hot." blue light erupted from her horn, creating a small building around them "this oughtta do for tonight"

Aurora slammed into a wall,he fell on his but,dazed as his eyes rolled and crossed,he shook his head and fell backwards,he rubbed his head with an "owwwww...maybe warn somepony next time...that really hurt..."he says,closing one eye,he saw he made a huge crack in the wall,he curled up in agony as he felt his head pulse.     Derpy gasped and stopped right in time,she looked at Aurora and walked over quickly "oh no! I-I think he might have a concussion."she says,worried for him.     Lyra gallops over to him and makes him move his hooves,she sees a cut on his forehead as it seeps down and drips off his mask,he had tears welling his eyes.

"Crap," She hadn't meant to hurt anyone. She ran over to Aurora and began a healing spell, she had gotten much better at them since her training it had also been part of her therapy, to make her eel like she could do something worthwhile .

Twice in one night? That's a new level of screw up even for you.

"I'm so sorry Aurora, I just didn't want you guys to get seared out there"

Aurora rubbed his head, he had one hell of a migraine now,"its...ok....just...warn me next time...nearly hurt myself bad..."he says,still rubbing his head,he felt like going to sleep,that wasent good...his eyes slowly drooped and fluttered open,closed,open closed,he started swaying back and forth.     Derpy gasped and held him steady,she didnt know why,but she felt like he would die if she woudnt hold him,even if he did go to sleep.     Lyra gulped "oh no...Aurora? Aurora,can you hear me? Aurora?"she asked,panicking slightly,she knew if ponies went to sleep with a serious head injury...there was no waking up...      Aurora heard her,but it sounded distant and echo like.

Shining Midnight and Spirit Watcher appeared in the room, with no trace of how they got in. Shining see's Aurora "What happened? Did he run into a wall?" He then see's the crack in the wall "Oh, nevermind. I would try and heal but my magic level is too low right now.". Spirit went over to check on his vitals "Heart rate is very high, and blood pressure seems to be rising. Anypony can heal him?" Spirit know she shouldn't do it now, but she really didn't have a choice. She looks over toward the empty corner of the room, but nothing happens. She suspects he is there, watching, he just doesn't want to be revealed quite yet, just in case somepony else could heal Aurora. "If you can heal him, I'd suggest you do it fast, his heart rate is REALLY beginning to spike..."
