Evil is what brings on tough times, and tough times cause living beings to come together. To find solutions, to make life better, happier. Evil is necessary. Im not defending it, and I don't like it any more than you do, but all things are necessary. For living beings to have a purpose. To have a goal to reach. You are right. What the Shade is doing is wrong. Its evil and its cruel, and it shouldn't be. But it is, and it has to be. For the world to work, then there needs to be good and evil. That was one of the most important lessons they taught us back in my birthplace. Cruel as it was, cruel as it is, everything has a purpose."

"In case we don't make it through tomorrow, I jut wanted to let you know that I had a great time meeting you and that I'm so thankful for everything you've done for me." He turned to look her in the eyes, "I also wanted to tell you that... well..." he trailed off, blushing. Deciding that words werent enough, leaned in and gave her a shy kiss on the cheek. "Thank you"

Shadow walked to where the other ponies were "Well that sucked for me" he said in a sad manner.

 

His face was still beat up, body scratched, a large cut in his leg and his left ear was cut open from the peircing removal.
