Fog got his food and slowly trotted with his head down while trying to find a seat. It's like I'm invisible, he thought to himself as his eyes started to tear up a bit. Come on, Fog! The other ponies probably already have friends, he forced himself to think as he sat down at a table.

Bayonet smile and waves goodbye to Muddle. Very happy to make her first friend in university. She stands up and decides to take another walk around the campus. The fist place she decides to go is the cafeteria, it seems like her stomach is leading her way. After standing in line and getting her food she looks for a seat. She sees one at a table with a pony by himself. She walks over.  @@Breeze, "Excuse me, is this seat taken?" She points at the seat in front of him with a friendly smile.

"Oh nothing dangerous!" She explained hurriedly. "At least, I don't think so anyway. Sometimes the things I make are a tiny bit... unstable. It's nothing really, never really caused any serious harm."

 

She rambled on in what she thought might be a reassuring manner.

 

"It's not my fault! Things just... they work! They always work! They just tend to get a little..." Unsure how to finish the sentence, she cut herself off on a tangent. "You cant let two or three hundred explosions stand in the way of progress!"

 

Nova chuckles, and slides a bit closer to the mare.  "Well, you definitely have the determination, and I like that in mare.  As for the unstable compounds....was...it just a slight miscalculation here and there and there?"  He asked, seeing if any of his knowledge of chemistry could come into play now to possibly help her out.    "I  understand how things can be, not going right." He looks down..but quickly looks back up.  "But as long as you know what to do.  "

"Alrighty! Let's getta move on" Pixie said, with a bit of country twang in her voice. She heard it at once and blushed a bit. Pixie couldn't help but think she would be made fun of if they knew she was country-folk. It felt like they were all from Manehattan and all of the other big cities, they all seemed to be so different. "So any signs that we are getting close?" A pony stands on the stage and introduces himself "Welcome every pony to The University Of Equestria! Home of the Trojan Horses! I am Vice principal Mr. Whinny (see what I did there?)"

"Here we'll try as hard as possible to give you the best possible education!" He blabbers on about the school for 5 minutes and then finally talk about rules something worth while "and though you may like or hate this school we have rules like others. Do not go into an opposite genders dorm. We don't want any fighting you will be suspended. Please be respectful of the staff here, they work hard to help you not hurt you. There are more rules written down in your dorms it wouldn't nice if you read those.

Now I see I'm out of time here. It's time for lunch it looks like. You are dismissed!" He says

Douglas stands up (guessing Star is there) and trots for the canteen almost sprinting, he stops just outside the auditorium to wait for Star.

Star followed Douglas to the mess hall. Wonder what we're having for lunch. "I'm starving." Lola was already at a table eating. "How did she?... Teleporting spell" Star yawned and rubbed her eyes Tired already? Oh well. She trotted into the lunch line. (guessing Doug is with me)

Pixie nudged him a bit as they continued walking. She immediately noticed it. She didn't mean to, so she put her ears back in embarrassment.

"Works for me." Blazing said. He was always happier outside, so being outside with a friend would make things even better. Nothing's gone wrong? This isn't a dream is it? He wondered. "We'll just look for the dorms later." He added. He really didn't care what they did, as long as they were away from everypony else.

Cinder pulled a vial with a black label from the belt and waved it around enthusiastically in her hoof.

 

"Smoke! The glass breaks and its like, 'Whoosh!' Instant smokescreen! Discovered that one by accident when I was a filly - my parents weren't impressed..." She grinned, but faltered as her mind caught up with the social situation.

 

"Uhm, are you okay? For a second there you looked kind of... sick?" She ventured, not really good at reading body language in any way.

Nova smiles and looks back up to the mare, eyeing the vial, just in case it was to accidentally slip out of her hoof. "Yeah, I am okay.  Just a small twinge of past.  But Im fine." He chuckles and smiles, looking into the mare's eyes.  "So...a smoke screen huh?"  He looks around the semi crowded cafeteria, and grins semi evilly. "Sayy... You know what we could do with said vial of smoke... Hahahah." He keeps chuckling a little.

He laughs, then shakes his head, no longer laughing.  "Um...hmm.. well.. since there are a lot of ponies here, and that is a smoke device... " He shakes his head again.  "Nah...If we were to ever use that device for a prank like that, we'd have to save it for a while later.  No use in getting kicked out instantly, eh?"  He chuckles and pulls a lunch from his pack, and slides a cookie over to Cinder, smiling.

The light at the end of the hall seemed to come up pretty quick. "Well we could go out this way, or we could just keep on wandering the halls aimlessly." She joked a bit, kicking her one hoof as if kicking a small pebble out of her way. "Which way do you think we should head?" Pixie smiled.

She managed to say quietly before busying herself returning the black labeled vial back to its place and took another one instead: this time filled with a blue-gray liquid. Sniffing it experimentally just to be certain, she nodded to herself and drunk it, shuddering and shaking her head.

The earth pony worked in a small flower shop in her youth, and knew the flowers by heart. "Ooh, I can see chrysanthemums from here, how lovely." Pixie had a quick bounce to her step as she walked over. "Come here and look." She smiled, happily flicking an ear.

Nova smiles to Cinder and nods.  "You're always welcome.  The least I can do the first day, eh?"  He chuckles then looks over to Pegasus that had just came to the table and nods.  "Sure, I'm alright with that.  The more the merrier, eh?" He chuckles some more, drinks some soda, and slides a cookie to each of the ponies who just came to sit down.   "Cookies for all!" He says with playful glee.

Nova chuckles when Doug brings up the speech again, but extends a hoof to Doug.  "Pleasure to meet you Doug.  My name is Nova.  And my lovely accomplice over here is Miss Cinder."  Nova looks over to Cinder, and smiles.  "I...don't really think Cinder and I really payed much attention to the Speech, and the part, that I at least remember, is the 'you're excused for lunch' part. " He says, laughing a bit.
