My MLP Study

Well I have begun study proportions of pony's. But thought might post some my study's here that might  help other people with there study's. And also to get general feedback to help myself too draw better.

 

This body type is based on Sombra, abut 4 head tall. I give my own little twist on front view, i know most front view's, make most pony´s look like round balls, from front. But thought considering how he look, from the side and 3Q view. That his cheekbones would go inwards a bit.

Well I think is not bad at all, It's a good proportion study for taller ponies.

 

The base of the neck looks a bit wierd from the front thought. Keep up the good work!

This Is of profile. And also i was looking up wings cause my OC will be pegasus. And two wing typs grab my attantion, the first beging grand ones uselessly seen on princesses. And plane normal ones. I was thinking going for grand wing consider body type i have is pretty tall and large. So would make more sense, he have larger wing span.

Larger bodies=larger wingspan.

 

When Twilight Sparkle became an Alicorn in the S3 Finale, she actually grew several inches. This is why she was given grand wings, instead of regular wing. My OC has the same body type as Celestia's, which is why he's got the super wings, which are enlarged grand wings. In fact, there are actually four types of wings that are used in the entire show. 

 

1. The usual regular wings (like Fluttershy's)

2. Large Regular wings (Like Dr. Whooves in Sonic Rainboom)

3. Grand wings (Like Luna's and Cadence's)

4. Super Wings (Like Celestias)

 

The sketches are really good and the grand wings would fit your OC really well.

Well making hairstyle and figuring nice shape for tail. And also silly thing. Facial hair.   And also did try on drawing eyes. Think might need re-size them bit.

I think your wingspan need to extend little longer than most of the pegasis.

Well thank you. Well think have enough materials, start on my own OC now. However my study's doesn't stop cause of that.

 

Here one done for Big Mac's body type. Think his abut 3 and half head tall. And one more thing notice is that have wherry big hoofs, this is to be suspected, do to his called name applying his big and supposely strong, and well built.

 

The most common body type used by show's stallions.

 

Common mare body type, but can also work for stallions. Just remove feminist eyelashes.

Well here other picture.

Study on trophy wife. Don't know her name. She like make, one appearance's in show, far as I know. What I can tale she is abut 2 and one-quarter heads tall. I try draw front view of her. Cause i didn't see many examples, of that when was goggeling around. Think turn out all right.

 

Yet an other MLP study, this one on prince blueblood body type. As larg as Big Mac, however more slander. And also seems like he one pony's in show dos have different front view face to rest of them. Just look at how square faced he is.

 

Thought go into detail of how the lags, are build up and how ever pis stick to gather. And also look up some name's for different lag part's.

Well here some more. Thought experiment with making some armor cause really like concept of knights. Well here it is picture where made up how one would look like in MLP. Probably will use it for my own OC at some point.

 

 

Nightmare Moon's body type, is wherry slander, and is abut 4 head's tale. And also, i like how the ears are bit curved in.

Well, here some more study, trying figure out puppet rigging.

Staring Pink Mist's OC. Well, would some time in further like do some animation stuff. But first thing first. STUDY! So took my friends OC draw few parts and just general trying figure out how build it up and vise parts would need to have animated puppet use in like flash. Like hair would need be in 4 pis, at where lest be flexible when animating. And Draw some mount pic's and eyes.  See if can later make something out of this like small gif avatar our something.
