Okay, so the story so far is:

There have been a number of disappearances in Dodge City, the police force have called in backup from neighbouring towns to help figure out who's behind the disappearances, but to no avail. Rumors are spreading of a mysterious unicorn mare who has been sighted, often seen with blood on her legs, and vanishes when she's seen. There is also talk around the city of a new invention, by the illustrious young inventor, Clockwork Green. His invention is a set of mechanical wings which he's surgically implanted into his back. This has been viewed dimly by pegasi, and welcomed by others who like the idea of being able to fly.

 

If your OC's live in the city, they will know about most of this. If not, interaction will teach you more.

Things you will know if you live in the city will include the current problem, and the new inventions. And also that Clockwork is a pretty well known pony around the city to begin with, as he installed many of the city's automated systems, such as elevators and other things. You may benefit from reading his OC page, which I have a link for in my signature Also, the night life in the city is dead for the time being, nopony wants to risk being next, so the entertainment industry is suffering.

 

Lastly, the campaign is currently set in the first night, just after dusk. It's dark out and the streets are lit, but empty.

Olive grove? That sounds like somewhere I'd like to visit. I understand guys, don't worry. I've been stalling on the time lapse. It's still the same night. I work all week 9 hours or more/day, plus I have side projects, so I can relate.

That works. I'm glad you chose to stick around, we need more active players. Although it seems some of the people on here can't keep up with the pace, so it's going pretty slow anyways. I've been grinding my brakes with the more active players to help everyone on board.

When I first started, it was daunting for me too, but the more you interact, the better of an understanding you have of the story. And likewise, the better you'll get at jumping into RP's in general.

It ain't the pace that stuck out for me, it was the amount of material.  I'm used to chatroom-based RPs.  Very fast based (the whole things can be begun and over in a couple of hours), and the amount of content is limited due to character limits per post.  Here, people are given time to give detail, and no character limit.

Ah, yes I can see that would be a lot different. I enjoy more detail though, it brings a whole new level of depth to a story. At the expense to becoming a large and detailed pile of text, it becomes a much more interesting environment to submerse your OC into.

Hey everypony. Just wanted to let you all know, I've updated the story tonight. And I'm sorry for how slow it's been progressing. Things have been a little crazy for me lately. I had a little emergency on Monday with my dad being in hospital. He's alright now, but that's what's been going on with me anyway. Thanks everyone, for sticking with the story! I'm going to try to get things back on track now.

Griffin is half lion. Hippogriff is half pony. Both have the head and forelimbs of an eagle

I've done just that actually. Or so I hope. It's gotten sort of slow, no one's really been posting much. I think we may have lost Lucid, and Neon. They've been inactive for the past couple weeks at least.

 

I'm going to try to get things rolling again. There is much to come! The mystery is growing.

Well, there's actually a gathering outside the city hall. The mayor is reportedly murdered, but you can't see anything beyond the police blinds, aside from caution tape, and a lot of blood on the ground. Most of the group has gathered to get a look, and Clockwork made an appearance, via my last post. Sidesplitter could show up at any time, should you wish to join in.

Current positions, I believe, Selune, Muddle and Sparky are gathered at the same place on the outskirts of the crowd. Grey Danger is jumping rooftops trying not to be noticed, and Sasha has yet to join any party, she's just flying solo for the time being.

After finally climbing the ladder Sparky looks back towards city hall and sees the crowd start to spread out. He sighed in frustration and climbed the ladder all the way back down again. Curious at why the crowd was dissipating, Soarky walks to the same mare he met earlier and asked with an annoyed tone "What happened this time?"
