The RP thread

 

Dodge city has long been a peaceful place, but recent months have proven to be quite the opposite. Mysterious disappearances have taken place all over. Ponies don't go out at night anymore, for fear of being snatched away in the dark places of the city. The entertainment industry is taking a beating, because the once bustling night life has dulled to only a few brave souls who would dare to venture out, despite the threat that now grips their streets.

 

 

 

Rules:

-No alicorns (for the story's sake, they're too overpowered for this RP)

-OOC should stay in this thread if possible, unless it's something short that directly pertains to the current event you're describing, and would be better as a footnote under your post.

-No overpowered abilities. Keeping it fair for everyone, and better for the story as well.

-Keep it cannon as much as possible.

-Be reliable, and only join if you know you're going to keep playing.

-Have fun with it!

I've posted a big one tonight. It will propel your character's knowledge on the mystery quite a bit. Sorry for the length though, I know text walls are daunting, so I tried to break it up as much as possible. This story will take flight, building up to the interesting bits is always slow going, but worth it. I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far. Everyone has great OC's, and the interactions between them are fun to watch.

 

How bout you? Any thoughts/expectations?

Due to inactivity, I'm going to re-open applications for new members temporarily. I'd like to keep this going along.

 

We're currently at a standstill until you guys, with a couple exceptions, do something. Most of your OCs have just been standing in the room silently the whole time, and now there's a choice to make. We need some input please!

Okay everypony. Just doing a brief recap for anyone who's lost track of the story. I just want to make sure you're all on the same page.

 

Main points

-Seven missing ponies, all listed in the thread. One of which is Clockwork's assistant.

-Midnight Scribbler is missing Sunset Glow, who's apartment has been broken into

-Clockwork Green seems to be suspicious of Muddle and her odd shadow.

-The city has a mixed opinion of Clockwork's inventions, he's come under heavy criticism due to his mechanical wings.

 

Locations

-Midnight and Selune have chosen to stay together at Midnight's place

-Muddle and SideSplitter have chosen to stay together at the hotel

-Lucid is still lurking in Clockwork's shop (Nopony is yet aware of his presence)

-Neon Strobe has chosen to stay with Clockwork in his assistant's room.

 

Details you should know, if you didn't catch them.

-Clockwork's shop contains an invention that can contain unicorn magical charges, and can cast them later.

Ok, a couple things.

I just want to ask. Skylar/Skystorm. Are you planning to play anymore?
Also, I want to say, I'm enjoying this RP a lot, I hope you guys are too! I have big plans unfolding soon. We just need to advance a little bit further, as we've only been taking part in the course of a half a day in the RP so far.

Just keeping this separate from the RP thread. Selune will see that the hoof marks on the door are on the inside of the door, as if somepony tried to break out, instead of in. They also match the size of Scribbler's hooves, oddly enough. There are no other odd signs of disturbance in the place, aside from a toppled bookshelf and a picture of Sunset laying on the floor.

Thanks, just wanted to check in on that. Also, thanks for breaking my insanely long chain of posts, they started jumbling together.

 

I'll be forwarding the storyline soonish. There are strange things happening in Dodge city currently, and yet more has been discovered. I'm not sure how long it'll take us to get to day 2.
