What are you doing for Halloween?

I'm getting candy and going as Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach. And also gonna try to attend some parties.

Apologies if this is in the wrong section. Feel free to move it to the proper one if need be.

I'm doing a thing for a kid in my area.

I know a kid in my neighborhood who lost his ablility to walk due to a car accident. He's only 5, and LOVES Doctor Who, and David Tennant is his favorite Doctor. So, I'm dressing up as David Tennant and going to this kid's house. When I meet him, I'll introduce myself as the Doctor, and give him my sonic screwdriver. It's the least I can do.

I'll basically look like Rory from Doctor Who when he had seen a lot of the Silence. I'm going to have tally marks everywhere and tell everyone that "silence will fall."

Nice. Tennant is my favorite Doctor. Be sure to practice your British accent. Unless of course you live in England, then in which I'm envious.

I'm going to stay inside, eat candy, listen to creepypastas, watch horror movies, and play horror games. I don't care for trick or treating anymore and I don't go to parties, so staying inside it is.

My younger brothers are going trick or treating. So, I am going walk with them. I won't be collecting candy, but I will be seeing them have fun. Seeing them happy makes me happy. smile.png

I got invited to a party one of my girlfriends is throwing, so I'll just attend that and maybe do a bit of trick or treating. As for a costume, I can't really decide. I don't want to be something generic and slutty like a nurse or a sailor again. Maybe I'll borrow the legionary costume one of my friends has laying around. History buff-y, not revealing, and cool!

That is literally the sweetest thing I've read all week. You are an angel to that kid! biggrin.png

I don't really participate in Halloween - which in my mind is not really a holiday - for a number of reasons.

Those being, I do not live in community where trick or treating is prevalent, and by that, I mean it never happens (then again, I live more out in the rural, country areas of my state).

The other reason being that I don't really care for the whole spiritual inspirations and all that jazz. If I view it as a day where people just like to dress up, and pass out candy, I don't care.

As such, I will most likely be sitting at home, either playing Assassin's Creed Black Flag, tearing my hair out over what I'm going to write for NaNoWriMo, or generally just play around on the forums and watch YouTube videos. After I help out with a party thing earlier in the evening (which is only somewhat depressing since we're not allowed to dress up for it. Don't ask, I don't even know)

Alright, since you don't know, I won't ask. But anyway, are you one of those No Fun Nelsons that doesn't celebrate Valentine's Day either because you claim "its a commercial/Hallmark scam 'holiday' to sell more flowers, cards, chocolates, and birth control?"

@@MissDashie,

I don't celebrate Valentine's Day because I do not have a girlfriend. :P

I actually become very irritated by the "commercial/Hallmark scam 'holiday' to sell more flowers, cards, chocolates, and birth control" opinion. That is not what Valentine's Day is about, in my opinion. Were I in a relationship with woman, I would celebrate it, just not in the way society most commonly paints it.

Fair enough. As long as you don't not celebrate it because you think its a scam. But you don't necessarily need to be in a relationship to enjoy Valentine's Day. You could just meet someone and ask to be their Valentine for a day. It could just be a fun time with someone, or if you really click, it could be a really romantic first date! smile.png

My friend is throwing this massive party for any Freshmen in the city. There are supposed to be about 3,000 to 4,500 thousand kids there. She lives on a massive plot of land, and her parents hired Luke Bryan to put on a show.

I'm merely waiting for the droves of kids who will shout "Trick-or-treat" in their very cute costumes! I live in a middle-high class neighbourhood with lots of kids. Last year, we've had 30-40 kids come over to our place. I think we're going to have the same turnout should the weather be kind.

The wife is forcing us to watch Halloweentown.

I guess it could be worse.

At least she enjoys it. And it's better than all the sequels put together.

Probably the same thing I did last year: knock back a few drinks and dance around to Halloween music. Hardly anyone ever comes by my house, so I don't have to worry much about getting up every five minutes to answer the door. To tell you the truth, Halloween kinda lost it's appeal to me once I got too old for it be "social acceptable" to still go Trick-Or-Treating. Now I just go and buy out the stores of all their cheap Halloween candy for 75-80% off the following day.

The same thing I do every year, which is try to take over the world!!

Wait? I'm not a Cartoon rat? Hmmm, I suppose I'll just watch anime all night long as my parents hand out candy instead then.
