Why do so many people hate Snips and Snails

I don't get why people hate these two so much, I know they where a bit mean in EG, but they did nothing as bad as Sunset Shimmer, what did they ever do to you ?

They're two annoying characters who seemingly cause nothing but trouble. I personally don't hate them, but they're not exactly ponies I like either.

I don't hate them... they are just annoying ponies who seem to take the side of whoever's "coolest" at the time... Trixie, Sunset Shimmer... They are even part of RD's fan club in The Mysterious Mare Do Well... I don't like ponies who change sides... their faithfulness kinda wishy washy... You can't really trust them...

Snips may also be the only pony i've ever seen that I could describe as being fat or overweight. (Not including's Pinkie's vacuum-like eating habits.)

I never really got it either. Snips and Snails has always kinda reminded me of Bulk and Skull from *insert almost any Power Rangers season here* but a little calmed down. I don't hate them, I just don't like them.

The Voice took to calling them bulk and skull so i to have adopted.

Um, thing is, I liked bulk in skull LOL.  They were terrible characters on a terrible show.

 

And if i may?  The closest they come to having character was being mean.

Seriously the closest to a slimey, grimey, henchmen is when they were playing lackey to sun set shimmer.

 

So the main reason i hate them?  Is cause of there so blah.

Cause they are a poor mans bulk and skull.  (or poor ponies).

Cause the show so desperately needs lackeys, (maybe it's why i like spike he's the only good lap dog on the whole darn show).

 

Their inept.  There ugly.  Their not efficient.  And your trying to tell me "but there not that evil so you shouldn't hate them."

 

There most redeemable moment is when they went evil.  Snips and snails managed to bring down twilight sparkle (all be it for a brief moment) and they did so crawling along on their bellies, cowering in the shadows.

 

It wasn't glorious but it was as good at being bad as those two ever did or ever will.

From what I could tell, think of dumb and dumber minus the charm that came with it. So all you're left with is labotomy and brain damage. I know its mean, but some how I don't hate them. They have personality, what little there of, and they can in a way get the plot going in an entertaining manner.

I don't hate them, it's faaaar from it, I only find them slightly annoying... through the whole series (and EG), they literally only join the "cool" pony, and play as their henchmen, and then leave... literally.

They just don't add much to the story, except annoying people.

They're the few male characters in a little girl's cartoon where their only purpose in the show is to stereotype all males as stupid, one-dimensional suck-ups.

 

At least, that would be my reason why I find them both unbearable.
