Another handheld Zelda.....  well, I can say that I will most likely not be buying it. I honestly feel that A Link to the Past, which is right up there with my favorite games, does not need a sequel. And, on the subject of this new game, the graphics / art style are perhaps the worst I've seen. Looking at the game-play footage quite literally strained my eyes.

I'll still be giving this game a try, of course, that is if I can manage to put aside my loathing of Handheld games.

You're missing out. That's all I can say.

In a society that has destroyed all adventure, the only adventure left is to destroy that society~

You know, I never really minded the linearity of other Zelda games, but this game is just ridiculously open-ended- the fact that you can just buy most items means you can explore just about anywhere right away, and there's plenty of items and rupees scattered around. The gameplay is also really tight and fast, dungeons can be blown through in about 15-20 minutes. So yeah, if you ever wanted a more open-ended, fast-paced Zelda, THIS GAME IS FOR YOU.

As for how I feel about this approach, I like it. I do think the game feels a little less epic though, there's no real buildup to any of the dungeons since you can just enter them if you have the right item for instance. Oh, and I don't care that Nintendo decided to call it Lorule- it looks like the Dark World, it feels like the Dark World, therefore it is the Dark World. Still, the overworld is at least nice and dense, because even though you can buy most items there are still some items you'll need to find for yourself and use to discover all the secrets, as they are largely for those sorts of purposes.

Overall, this is the most open-ended Zelda game since the original, and I gotta say I'm really liking it so far. :)

Awww! I can't get it! I'll just have to stick to let's plays. Anyone else got it on Friday? Is it really good? Tell me! I haven't watched any walkthroughs yet.

Finally got this game yesterday! It's awesome so far. I'm currently in Lorule's Swamp Palace.

I'm really intrigued by Yuga, Lorule, Hilda, and all the new stuff like that.

Look upon my awesome signature, ye users, and despair!

I finished the game today! For how little story the game has for a while, they sure lay it on you at the end, all I'm saying about that. Overall though, I'd say ALBW is the best handheld Zelda I've ever played- I really hope they adapt the freedom and nonlinearity of this game to the Wii U Zelda, hopefully though with a more epic feel, because while ALBW had some moments like that, the real strength of the gameplay was the puzzle solving and exploring, although it could have used some more epic battles and whatnot. We just need a gamme like this with better combat and the next Zelda will be golden, not saying this one isn't though because it certainly is. :D
