(It's been a while since I started one of these, so forgive me if I'm a bit rusty.)

 

Obviously, as the name implies, I'm planning to do an RP based on the manga/anime Bleach. I assume you've at least heard of it if you're reading this, so I'm not going to bother explaining it. But I do want to establish a few things. First of all, I haven't read the manga (yet) so I'm basing everything off the anime. Second, I watched the subtitled episodes, and my impression is that most people watch the dubs, so if some of the terminology I use is different, that would be why. Third and finally, this is going to be made so that it's still accessible to people who haven't seen/read Bleach, assuming any such people are interested. Oh, and this probably goes without saying, but the RP is removed from any actual events that happen in the series, and none of the characters from the series will be involved. Alternate universe, same setting, if that makes sense. Except, you know, with ponies and stuff.

 

I'm hesitant to reveal too much about the story yet, but the bare basics are like this. All of the player characters are fairly high-ranking shinigami (soul reapers), and the RP is going to be set mostly, if not entirely, in Soul Society. Things are pretty much normal, or as normal as they ever are, until shinigami start disappearing. Before long, things start to get serious, and Soul Society descends into chaos as the shinigami start fighting amongst themselves. Which may have been the goal of whoever was behind the disappearances all along.

 

That's about as much as I want to say write now, although I may decide to add a little more later. And now for the rules:

 

1. No godmodding, no mary sues, no ludicrously overpowered characters, all the usual stuff. Really I shouldn't have to say this at all, but I feel obligated to.

 

2. If you want your character to have Bankai, they have to be at least Lieutenant/Vice Captain rank. There might be a few unusual exceptions where I'll allow it otherwise, and other characters might achieve Bankai during the events of the RP, but that's the general rule, at least.

 

3. I reserve the right to accept or reject a character with or without giving a reason for doing so. However, know that I do tend to be somewhat selective, especially with players I don't know, so if you get rejected, don't feel bad. It probably just means I didn't think you were a good fit or something.

 

4. PLEASE use proper spelling and grammar. It doesn't have to be perfect, but at least make an effort. Seriously, it annoys me more than just about anything else in roleplaying when people don't do that.

 

5. While I appreciate suggestions and the like, please remember that in the end, I'm the one in charge. I hate to make myself sound all tyrannical, but please don't challenge my authority. If you push me, I'm afraid I'll have to push back.

 

6. Canon races only, please. I'll accept just about anything canon, but not deers or snake-ponies or what have you. Oh, and know that I'm especially strict about alicorns, so there's a pretty good chance you won't get accepted if you apply with one.

 

If you're interested, please post a link to your OC's character page, as well as their rank and the squad you want them to be in, along with the abilities of their zanpakutou. I'll post my own characters eventually.

1st Squad: No accepted characters currently, captain seat is reserved for a plot-critical character to be revealed later.

5th, 9th, and 13th Squad: Currently empty.

6th Squad: Captain is Gladius. Lieutenant is Big Thunder.

7th Squad: Captain is Minath Ki̱demónas. Lieutenant is Rambler. Third officer is Stormwing. Fourth officer is Crom Koldin.

8th Squad: Captain is Asteron. Lieutenant is Scurry.

10th Squad: Captain is Emerald. Lieutenant is Flint.

11th Squad: Captain is Raptor. Lieutenant is Syl Windrunner. Third officer is Gal Rush.

12th Squad: Captain is Lost Knowledge. Lieutenant is Ghaoth Oiche.

I'm into bleach, although it has been a while since i either read or watched the series, but I am willing to give this a shot. My character is in my signature. If that does not work, then I will give you the link.

 

For my rank...I don't really know. I guess something that is high, but not too high. You can decide what squad i'm in, if i'm accepted. As for my zanpakutou, I have no idea what weapons a pony will use.....You will have to give me a list so that I may fully understand what I can and can't use.

Alright, the one problem I have with your character is the alternate forms and the demon trapped inside him and whatnot. I might (and in the end probably will) let you essentially change it to his having an inner hollow, but otherwise, I'll have to ask that you don't use that stuff for this roleplay.

 

As for what squad he's in... I don't know. I'll figure that out later.

 

For zanpakutou's, I'm willing to rely on suspension of disbelief that ponies can somehow use swords and other conventional weapons. Of course, if you want to come up with something equine-specific, be my guest. In other words, whatever kind of weapon you want is fine.

 

And I'm tentatively going to have you as a third or fourth officer of whatever squad I put you in. I have a lot of stuff to sort out between all of the characters I'll be controlling and the other players' characters, so right now it's not really clear and it's subject to change.

I'll place you in fourth squad, though I can't say for sure whether it will be as a captain or not. You'll also want to think about what you want your zanpakutou's name and ability to be. Of course, I could totally make one up for you if you wanted, because I'm coming up with them all the time anyway.

 

Oh, and before I forget, I should probably mention as a heads-up to everyone that the eleventh squad captain, vice captain, and 3rd officer seats are already in reserve for plot-critical characters.

Ability: Sound/Music. Using different kinds of music she can effect certain things around her. She can make her enemy experience certain things, confusion, tiredness, strong emotions (Sadness, anger, stuff like that). The music can also effect Fiddle herself and people around her, usually helpful things like making them feel stronger in some way or another. She can also just use the music to physically effect her enemy, using high powered sound waves and stuff like that.

Raptor: 11th squad captain. His zapakutou, Crimson Thirst, drains blood from his enemies and uses it to make him stronger.

 

These are hardly my only characters. There will be more forthcoming when I see fit to post them.

Not technically a canon race, but I'll let you in as a super special exception because it's pretty much a manticore. And also because I've played with you enough to trust you.

 

Except you said lieutenant of the 7th, a spot which is taken. I assume, based on our conversations prior, that you mean the 11th. So you should fix that.

I still need to see a zanpakutou for your character. Like I said before, it would still be a sword in unreleased form (don't ask how a pony uses one, just accept it), and beyond that it's pretty much just limited by your imagination.

Gentle Wind: 4th squad captain. His Zanpakutou, Healer's Touch, closes wounds and replaces lost flesh and blood.

 

Gal Rush: 11th squad 3rd seat. His Zanpakutou, Demolisher, turns into a devastatingly powerful hammer.

Go ahead. There's no way we're going to get anywhere near the number of people I'd ideally want to have, so use as many characters as you want.

You said he's a diamond dog, right? But you mentioned flight in the description of his sword. This confuses me, as diamond dogs are not, as far as I know, capable of flight.

Right. Silly me. I wouldn't think to call it flight, I guess, but I suppose it is. Although half the time it does seem like, yes, stepping on air. Anyway, having resolved that, I think I'm willing to accept your character. Do you want to be a seated officer or anything? Honestly, I doubt it'll really matter one way or the other except for having a title. The only ones for whom rank is going to matter much are captains, most of whom will probably be my characters. Of course, most of the characters overall are probably going to be mine anyway. I'm pulling out my whole roster for this, not to mention adding a few new ones. But that's beside the point.

 

Basically, you're in. Do you want to be a seated officer or not?

Alright, you're going to be the third officer of seventh squad, the captain and lieutenant of which are Minath and my OC Rambler, respectively. Minath and Rambler are romantically involved by the way. Just a heads up.

 

I guess I ought to start working on the RP thread now, but first, to post all the rest of my characters I'll be using. There are quite a few, so don't worry about memorizing them or anything. You'll want to know who's captain of what eventually, I suppose, but I imagine that'll come with time. For now, I'm just putting this up as a reference, and so no-one can say later that I didn't establish all of it.

 

Actually, I'll post them in a little bit. I should get this part out first. By the way, any thoughts on a name for the RP, anyone? If nobody comes up with anything, I'll just call it Bleach Crossover RP, which would be kind of lame.

And now, all the characters I haven't already posted.

 

Emerald: The 10th squad captain. His zanpakutou, Crown Jewel, uses reflected light to blind and distract enemies.

 

Flint: The lieutenant of the 10th squad. His zanpakutou, Spark, lights the things it cuts on fire.

 

Lost Knowledge: Captain and head researcher of the 12th squad. His zanpakutou, Third Eye, can scan and analyze things in the area.

 

Ghaoth Oiche: Lieutenant of the 12th squad. He never releases his zanpakutou, and some wonder if he even knows it's name. Lost Knowledge claims to have seen him use shikai, though he doesn't go into detail about it.

 

Cloak and Dagger: The lieutenant and captain of the 2nd squad, respectively. Due to their specialization in covert ops, they each keep the nature of their zanpakutou a well-kept secret.

 

Gladius: The 6th squad captain. His zanpakutou, Duelist, has no clear special abilities, but takes the form of a rapier.

 

Big Thunder: The 6th squad lieutenant. His zanpakutou, Mighty Ram, enhances his already considerable strength and allows him to build up speed much faster when running, making the charging and kicking attacks that are his primary form of combat significantly deadlier.

 

Asteron: The 8th squad captain. His zanpakutou, Daichinoikari, takes the form of a battleaxe when released.

 

Scurry: The 8th squad lieutenant. His zanpakutou, Beast, causes his teeth and claws to grow longer and sharper.

 

There are a few more that are still in the works and will be revealed in time.
