Ambrose hugged him tight, "how would you hurt me? Trust me you will never hurt me as much as the other pony did... The one who took my wings" she looked down. How could Dusk hurt her, she was never really sure with this pony, he was very shy and always moving about.

Neon Fire walked over and saw him talking to the mare.  It was true, she did look lonely.  Maybe she was new to town or something?  She shrugged as she came a little closer.

 

"So do you have a name then?" She asked, as she spread out her wings, and started hovering in front of her.

Ambrose nodded to Dust then turned to the new voice. Ah it was neon from the train. " oh hi neon, am Ambrose" she said. "Me and dust were telling stories" she added in an offhand manner. She quickly closed the door before any more ponies could come in.

Dust notices the pain and sadness in Ambrose's eyes, he then remembers the necklace is still around his neck, he takes it off and puts it around hers, "here, I believe this necklace belongs to you," he says sympathetically, he did want to hear what happened to her, but if it was too painful for her, he would understand.

Ambrose sat down on a couch, "it all started one day on the way home from school, an old earth pony grabbed me. He d-did terrible t-Thing to me. He... She trailed off. The at the e-end he pulled out a h-hacksaw and..." She stopped and started to shake violently. Tears steamed down her face.

Neon Fire could tell she was definitely shy.  A lot more than she is when she meets new people, so she didn't try to get any closer.

She went over to her tiny bed in the corner of the workshop and crawled into it. She realized as was being very rude but se just couldn't talk anymore.

Ambrose looked over to Dust unsure of what she should say. "I-I g-guess" she stuttered, mothers generally had the best ways to cheer any pony up. She waited to see what Dust would do to help her.

Ambrose flinched, the last pony who been this near to her hit her. She calmed down slightly, enjoying the experience. Yet she wasn't sure if she would ask Dust to do it again, she felt like this more then kissing, she felt she needed to know him better. Yet Ambrose let herself be held, she needed it right now.

Dust tries to smile for her, "A..Ambrose? There is something I need to tell you. If I hadn't met you at the station, and...and if you hadn't been so nice to me, I would have killed myself. I as so lonely, depressed and I just couldn't handle life anymore. I was going to Ponyville, so..so that I could just wander into the EverFree Forest and let whatever forces dwell there, take me. and never return." Tears formed in his eyes and were streaming down his face, some of them dropping onto Ambrose.

Ambrose felt terrible. She hugged Dust and didn't let go. "That happened to me once, I tried to hang my self after I was attacked". She lifted her head and showed him the scar left from the rope cutting her neck. She really wanted to help Dust now, they had known each other for a few days, and all ready she wanted to help him.

She looked at the scars again and traced th outline of some with her hoof. "I have trusted you more then any other pony I've met" Ambrose added, she didn't want to seem rude and not return the compliment.
