Hearth's Warming Eve in Yanhoover- always a happy time. Lights, decorations, treats... and, of course, the regular clock winding, proceeded over by a clocktower the size of a skyscraper. The mayors of Yanhoover have been silently guarding the secret it has been holding, predating Discord and, in some urban legends, Old Equestria.

 

Yet, there is trouble. Something has been messing with the clock, and the secret it holds is endangered as well. While a squad of Inquisitors make their way down to Yanhoover, the Princess commissions a squad of ponies from across Equestria to remove the threat to the town...

 


 

First off, before I forget,

These two people have reserved spots! :D

 

 

Next the rules.

 

1. No powerplaying, godmodding, and all of the standard RP rules.

2. No Mary/Gary Sues.

3. No alicorns. Nope, sorry.

4. This is a mature RP- if you are going to fool around, don't join.

5. Romance is allowed, but keep it PG-13.

6. BE WARNED: This Rp is going to be a bit on the bloody side once we really get going. Just a heads-up.

7. Two characters per player max.

8. I am the DM. Listen to me, pwease. Pwease?

9. Good grammar and spelling is a must. It saves me yet another headache.

10. Have fun!

 

 

Your character can be one of two types. I have an exception for one pony and one pony alone, who is needed for the story. Other than that...

 

Each party will have it's own separate RP thread. I will start when both parties are formed!

 

Mercenaries

 

If you choose to be a mercenary character, you don't need to follow any further steps. You are done!

 

Inquisition

 

If you choose to be part of the Inquisition, you will have to choose which branch you want your pony to be in!

 

Because the Black Legion is, at the time of this RP, defending Baltimare from a demonic invasion, the Black Legion is a non-playable branch for this RP. Branches are down below.

 

 

 

Branch of Celestia

 

The Branch of Celestia is the major branch of the Inquisition, and the first branch officially considered a military asset for combat. Proud and strong, the Branch of Celestia is known for its bold strides forward and its strong military skills, whether it be on the front lines or in a general's seat. Due to their consistent loyalty, the  Branch of Celestia has also become the figurehead for the entire Inquisition, as these are one of the few Inquisitors that you will ever meet face to face.

 

 

Branch of Luna

 

The Branch of Luna is another major branch, but less known then their brethren in the Branch of Celestia. They are the spies, the saboteurs, and the assassins- they encompass the shadier side of the Inquisition. All of them know that their missions are never for personal gain, but, after extended service in the branch, several ponies become so stressed out to the point where many retire to the Canterlot Mental Facility to keep their heads straight on course. The Branch of Luna is considered by many to be new, for they kept their heads down during Luna's thousand year banishment to the moon.

 

 

Branch of Cadence

 

The Branch of Cadence is responsible for services rendered to the populace. With their home base in the Crystal Empire, it is rare to see one, even compared to other Inquisitors. They focus on ridding the land of corruption and recovering the populace of those such corrupted leaders. The branch of Cadence is one of the youngest Branches of the Inquisition, and thus, not well known.

 

 

Branch of Twilight

 

 The Branch of Twilight is the newest branch of the Inquisition, and their job is shady indeed. They specialize in knowledge- forbidden knowledge- and demonancy. Currently, only a handful of Inquisitors are in this branch, and this is the way Celestia wants to keep it, until she deems Princess Twilight ready to accept the fact that she had inherited the most dangerous job in the entire Inquisition...

 

 

Silver Guard

 

 The Silver Guard is a group of elite guardsponies that have been selected by the Inquisitor-Captain Soulhammer to protect Canterlot- and, more importantly, the Princesses. They never paint their armor with heraldry- further emphasizing the fact that they are all equal- and they are always where the Princesses are. Even if you think that all that's between them and the populace are two highly-decorated guards, think again- somewhere within eyesight of the Princesses are at least a squad of Silver Guard, ready to defend their mistresses until death.

I am currently trying to write another character up to fit in this RP, but I am not sure if I can finish him in time before the spot is filled. Any ways, if I can finish it before the RP starts I'll post it, otherwise I could RP as my main OC Monkshood link is in my signature. I'm not sure where to place him, possibly Branch of Cadence or Mercenary?

@@Nomadic, That sounds good!

 

Monkshood feels like either a Twilight Branch or, as you said, Cadence. Or, of course, you could always have him as a mercenary...

 

And, if you want, I'll reserve a spot for your other character. Might I inquire what you want for your character? Inquisition or Merc?

Ok, you seem to already have a vague idea on what branch you would want to stick him in, so I'll ask you what do you think would be best?

 

Secondly, I'm really not sure when he's going to be done, and I'm not sure if he's going to turn out at all so I don't want to hold you up.

 

Thirdly, just as a funny side-note I was going to put down Monkshood for your guys' character collect for your project, but backed myself out at the last minute. Only due to the fact, I wasn't quite sure what the ramifications would be in the long run.

@@Nomadic,  I'm going to stick him in the Twilight Branch. That way he can have demon hunting knowledge.

 

And that's understandable. In the long run, he would have been written an alternate backstory that would tie him into the Inqusition, and then he would be available for our future projects and such. All with your permission, of course.  :)

As someone who actually cares greatly about my characters backstory and someone who likes to keep notes on each revision I do to the backstory, I could easily loss of creative control of my character being issue. So thank you for re-affirming my choice. 

 

Though back to the RP at hand, I'm curious on how many RPers/Characters more you're roughly going to need to start.

@@Nomadic, Well, I mean, we have you approve the backstory first, and we try to keep it as close to the original as possible... but whatever. This isn't an advertisement. This is a roleplay.

 

An ETA? Well, the Inquisition is ready to go, so if we do not get the mercs filled within the day, I'll go ahead and start up the Inquisition part of the RP. Or, to make it easier, we could simply have it all be Inquisition and... well, maybe.

 

Hey, @@Pripyat Pony! Mind if Mariposa becomes a Luna Inquisitor?
