private Quest For the Elements of Happiness [Adventure]

Hello, everypony. Since all of my other RPs are dead, I've decided to make a new one. This is going to be an adventure where a bunch of ponies (seven) venture into the Everfree Forest on a search for the Elements of Happiness. Some of them are mares, and others stallions. The Elements of Happiness are what now protect Equestria from harm.

2. Keep it PG-13
3. Only pony-cusses are allowed
4. You must be accepted by me to start RPing on the other thread
5. If I brohoof your post, your're accepted
6. If you break rule(s) more than once, you get banned from the thread

Kahver leaped through the air, blades flashing. The criminals behind him fell to their knees, hamstrings having been sliced. Moments later, the police chief was congratulating Kahver.

 

"Good job, Kahver" the chief laughed as he patted the Neving on the back. Kahver flinched and jumped away. 

 

"No, I can't do a good job. There's no need to waste pity on me" Kahver said, looking upset at the compliment

Epic Rainbow was trotting through Ponyville trying to find her friend Angel Light to see how she could help her earn her Cutie Mark today. Epic went to Angel's house and called into the inside, "Angel! Are you home? I wanna help you earn your Cutie Mark once and for all! It just bothers me that after all we've tried to do to earn a Cutie Mark for you, you still don't have one! Angel? Hello??"

[Emerald Heart 24,999]

Emerald walked into the library, a purple mare that she did not regognize greeted her. "Oh, hello! I am Twilight Sparkle, welcome!" Emerald nearly blinked at the mare, and walked around the library- searching for a good book to read. "Hmm..what's this?" Emerald reached to grab the book off of the shelf. It had a sparkeling crystal cover, and sewn-in pages. The book did not have a title. "Excuse me, may I check out this book?" Emerald held up the crystal-cover book so Twilight could see it. "Hm, alright. Be careful. That book isn't easy to open, you need a key-from the Evergreen Forest. It is said that it is hidden amongst the thistles at the darkest part of the Everfree." Emerald nodded, and put the book into her bag. "When do I give it back to you?" Twilight thought. "Keep it."

Fawna trotted towards the library to return a book about what turtles eat. She walked into the treehouse. "Hello, Twilight," she said. "I'd like to return this book about turtles' diet. Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were helping another pony." Fawna shrank down and pouted a little bit. "Please don't hate me, Twilight." Twilight laughed and helped Fawna up. "What's so funny," Fawna asked. "You don't have to be so negative," said Twilight. "I don't hate you and I was just finishing helping this nice filly."

Death Skull (Midnight Killer a little later) was in her cell at the Canterlot Asylum for the Dangerously Neurotic, plotting her escape. "I'll fly up to the window, and try to kick the bars out. Then I'll fly to Ponyville and get rid of my stupid cousin, Epic Rainbow," she said to herself. "It's the perfect plan..." Death then started laughing maniacally. Her neighbors shushed her since it was the middle of the night. "Sshh yourself," she shouted.

@, Angel had been listening to the birds sing outside her window when she heard a familiar voice called out.
"Epic Rainbow?" she replied, head turning in the direction of her friend's voice. She got up and walked until she found the wall, then followed it until she came to the front door. Opening it, she smiled to the air in front of her.
"Hi, Epic," she said. "I appreciate your help, but I'm okay without a cutie mark."

Epic sighed. "But Angel! You can't be, like, not unique in any way! I mean, we gotta find out what makes you special and your unique talent!!" Epic thought for a moment. "Angel, what's your favorite thing to do?"

((Sorry, I'll edit it. Rainbow just seemed like a better nickname to me, no offense. Anyway, yes Angel is blind, it says in her profile.))

Angel sighed as well.
"My favorite thing to do?" She asked, thinking about it. "Um, I don't have many hobbies... I don't really know of many things I would be able to do without sight. Um, I like listening to music. And when I lived in Windermare, I helped my sister with her bakery, though that was mostly getting ingredients for her after I memorized what whas what and where it was."

Epic thought for a few seconds. "Hmm..." she sighed. "Maybe your special talent has something to do with memory! We can try to have you memorize different things and see what happens!!" Epic grabbed Angel and flew to her house. It turns out, somepony else was waiting there.

"Um, okay?" Angel said. She felt Epic's hoof grab hers and start to drag her away, into the air. She started flying herself and let her friend lead her. 
As they landed, she heard movement ((Even if it's just a normal shift, it's odd to stand stone still.)) and faced her head to where she thought Epic Rainbow's head was, missing by a bit and facing the space behind her head.
"Is somepony else here?" she asked quietly.

Emerald turned her head as the new pony walked in. "Oh, hello there! I was just checking put a book from Twilight, so you can have her now." On her walk out, Emerald turned to the pony and smiled. "I'm Emerald. I do hope we see each other again, you seem like a nice pony. But I must get to finding out what lies inside this book."

Fawna looked at Emerald. "I'm Fawna," she replied. "And I'm not a pony, I'm a deer. Nice meeting you, Emerald."

 

Epic stood frozen for a moment. Epic gulped and replied nervously, "Mhm. My evil cousin, Death Skull, is here. She must've escaped the Canterlot Asylum for the Dangerously Neurotic!" Death laughed maniacally. "Right you are, dear cousin," she laughed. "Now it's time for my revenge!!" "But Death," Epic said. "What did I ever do to you? So what Gramma loved me better than you? It's not my fault!"

Kahver was slashing through training dummies, his feathers ruffled when the chief called him. 

"Hey, Kahver, some lunatic escaped" the chief called out to the Nelving. Kahver was off, sharp claws digging into buildings as he ran along, looking for a trace of the lunatic.

Fawna looked at Emerald. "I'm Fawntree he a," she replied. "And I'm not a pony, I'm a deer. Nice meeting you, Emerald."

Epic stood frozen for a moment. Epic gulped and replied nervously, "Mhm. My evil cousin, Death Skull, is here. She must've escaped the Canterlot Asylum for the Dangerously Neurotic!" Death laughed maniacally. "Right you are, dear cousin," she laughed. "Now it's time for my revenge!!" "But Death," Epic said. "What did I ever do to you? So what Gramma loved me better than you? It's not my fault!"

"Oh, I apologize. Well, Fawna. I hope to see you again soon." Emerald smiled, and headed out the door. Pausing again to smiled at Twilight. "Thank you, miss." And then she left; heading for the Everfree Forest. She pulled out the book as she neared the edge of the Everfree. "Let's hope she was right."And she trotted into the forest.

Renegade trotted through Ponyville, extremely bored. There was nothing to do, so he decided to go loook for his girlfriend,Epic Rainbow. fer looking everywhere he possibly could think of, Renegade heard it. The evil laughing. "Dear sweet Celestia, did Death Skull get out of the nutty bin?" he mutteredto himself. He quickly trotted in the direction where the laughing was heard.

Death looked angrier. "I know it wasn't your fault," she growled. "But you became spoiled by her love!! And what love did I get?! Only a little bit from my father! However, he barely loved me! Gramma never gave me anything on my birthdays or Heart's Warming!" Death Skull grew angrier and angrier and transformed into a Death Skull version of Nightmare Moon. "I am no longer Death Skull," she shouted. "I am now Midnight Killer! And I will be avenged for my terrible childhood!" Midnight flew out the window and to the Everfree Forest as a cloud of sparkly black smoke. She arrived at the ancient castle destroyed by Nightmare Moon. Epic sighed, "I never thought she could get more insane than she already was. Maybe I was spoiled by my grandmother's love." She sighed again. "We have to find the Elements of Happiness! Since the Elements of Harmony were given up to the Tree of Harmony, the Elements of Happiness now protect Equestria from harm. We have to wield them now."

Renegade arrived just in time. "What the hay are the Elements of Happiness?" he asked Epic curiously. "And furthermore, if your nutty cousin's revenge plan involves destroying Equestria, then I'D say we work together." the unicorn said, looking at Epic with a worried expression in his eyes. Honestly, he didn't want to see Epic get hurt, and he would protect her, no matter the cost.

Kahver watched them from above, his beak in a frown. He wasn't going to soil their hooves with his presence, he was just a drag. He'd just ask them for directions and then leave, make himself useful. Who was he kidding, he'd never be useful

 

"Excuse me, very sorry, where did Death Skull go?" Kahver asked, bowing so low that his head scraped the ground.

"Oh, you mean Midnight Killer?" Renegade called up to the Nevling. "She went...that a-way." Renegade said, pointing his hoof in the direction of the Everfree Forest. "But don't bother yourself, dude. Some ponies and IN are gonna go look for the Elements of Happiness, whatever those are."

"Oh, you mean Midnight Killer?" Renegade called up to the Nevling. "She went...that a-way." Renegade said, pointing his hoof in the direction of the Everfree Forest. "But don't bother yourself, dude. Some ponies and IN are gonna go look for the Elements of Happiness, whatever those are."

Kahver flinched at the concern aimed at him. "No, I am less important, it is my destiny" Kahver mumbled, stretching out his arms and gliding into the forest. He landed in a tree, claws spiking into the bark and releasing sap. He'd wait there, ambush Midnight

Epic looked at Renegade. "The Elements of Happiness are what now protect Equestria from harm since the Elements of Harmony were given up to the Tree of Harmony. We need to wield them in order to stop my cousin. However, there are seven of them and only three of us. We're gonna need more ponies if we're gonna stop Midnight. But we also need to find the Elements. Nopony knows exactly where they are, but legends say they're in the Everfree Forest, with the Tree of Harmony. The Elements of Happiness appeared when the Elements of Harmony were given to the Tree."

"Hmmmm....sounds like an adventure." Renegade said, looking at his cutie mark. "And you know me, I love adventures." the unicorn said, nuzzling Epic like a dog. "It's my talent!" He said excitedly. "Now...let's go find some ponies!" Renegade shouted with enthusiasm in his voice. He was ready.

Epic trotted to the door. "Come on, Angel," she said, grabbing her hoof and flying back over to the door. She opened the door. It was almost sunset. "We better get going before it gets dark. Midnight Killer, based on her name, must want to kill me in the middle of the night."

"Right." Renegade said, following his girlfriend. He decided to make a vow right then and there: He'd protect Epic Rainbow from Death Skull/Midnight Killer at any coost, even his own life. He loved her dearly, and feared for her life. "So, where are we supposed to go?" the unicorn asked out of curiosity.

Epic thought as she flew. "Hmm," she mumbled. She said," I would say in the destroyed castle of the Royal Sisters in the Everfree Forest, just like the Elements of Harmony were. Come on, we gotta find more ponies who can represent the Elements with us. Maybe Fawna can help."
