They already HAVE special abilities and have been dealing with villains and monsters since Day 1. Giving them colorful costumes changes little. If it's fun & entertaining, then so much the better. Truly, screw the fans, man. If people want to walk into episodes to be critics and not fans, they can do so, because it's gotten to the point where people clearly aren't going to stop, so I'm going to ignore them, and cheekily make fun of them when the situation is appropriate to do so Criticizing something doesn't mean you're not a fan, it just means you have issues with it that you feel are worth giving a damn about. Now, of course, there are criticisms that are extremely petty, like blowing minor issues with the animation or lightning out of proportion, but if there are serious errors in the plot, or it's just plain boring, than you SHOULD critique it. One of worst kinds of fans are the ones who believe that in order to be a true fan, they need to enjoy every little bit about the show, and never complain about anything, even serious issues. A good fan will be objective and point out and criticize serious flaws when they spot them, instead of pretending they don't matter. Tho, in regards to Power Ponies, I don't see any legitimate reason to complain. Sadly, I am not MLP-Silver-Quill. Although I am acquainted with him! It was a complete coincidence that our OCs are named the same thing and, on top of that, we were both planning analysis videos. MLP isn't the only cartoon that's done this, others have attempted it like the fairly oddparents, and it was pretty well done.
