I feel you, man. I really do.

I'm currently suffering from mood swings. One minute, I'm happy as a clam, joyful as if nothing could go wrong. The next, I just wanna outright kill myself. I haven't brought myself to a suicide attempt, though. I have too much to live for.

I can relate in a way, I'm bipolar or feel that way. I can be very happy and all that, not often though. Then I start having high hopes and then before I know it, it hits me and I just become a bit of a wreck. It doesn't happen easily but it comes and goes. So yeah I'm not sure if I can relate but sometimes I feel that way.

Also, these are not some mood swings. It really is just a full depression but you know because of bipolarity I switch between the two.

Sadly... some of your stuff you have put actually sums me up.... I actually tempted suicide once.... I know.. it's hard. But throughout my life. school was the reason i became depressed. All the stress all of the kids taking the mick.... stuff thrown at me.... I seriously had enough.... I lost alot a friends in 1 day "about 10" after something... i don't if to say it...

I get lots of Mood swings because of my age right now. Don't worry too much about it. Everypony gets them. I get them a lot. Don't let them bring you down. Depending on your situation, you should talk it over with somebody. I always find it easier to talk to someone here.

But there are other times I get depressed and don't know why.

You're always free to talk to me  :)

I got really depressed right after the holidays were over, couldn't get myself out of bed. I think it's partly the holiday excitement was over and partly a bit of seasonal affective disorder. Winter just tends to get you down. But I'm semi out of it now. Can get myself out of bed at least. I do hope you feel better soon, and do consider getting help if it gets really bad.

Sorry to hear about that. I've never experienced depression before, but I've had friends who have. Once again, sorry to hear and I hope it all gets better for you.

I have fairly severe mood swings. Hell, on Friday, I wished I was dead. My self-hatred has kicked back in full swing as well and I'm contemplating on going back to anorexia. So, yeah, what a wonderful start to a new year. But, nevertheless, we have all had felt depressed without knowing why from time to time, just remember that if you ever need anyone to talk to, I, along with everyone else here are willing to talk.

Thank you very much for the support. I know... depression is very hard to get out of. I just like to walk around if i do get depressed.

No, all the harships in life have made me a strong person but that dosen't mean that I still don't get down every now and then or that everything is fine. I have been going through a serious case of depression for the last year or so that recently got so out of control that these suicidal thoughts I suppressed came out big time because I have been burning out from all the pressures in work, school and life in general. I got a rather unexpected vacation when I got a work related knee injury on December 1st which I am still recovering from, getting hurt is not exactly the way I was hoping to finally relax but I have made the best of it. The injury itself is making me depressed because it seems my progress has come to a standstill which has prompted me to get an MRI on Friday which I will find out the results of when I see the doctor tomorrow, I am scared to death because I really do not want to have to get surgery.

You have no idea. I'd be happy one minute and than I'd start to feel depressed over things that aren't gonna happen in the real immediate future( Me dying, My dog dying, me having a family me having a "Successful life" ) and I'd start to feel really down and depending where I am I'd think about ending my life right then and there. (Like let's say I'm about to cross the street at a busy intersection, I'd think about walking right out into the middle of the road) I'd never actually try it, but I am having a bunch of problems here with me never having a girlfriend, being 31 years old (And I "feel" more like a 99 year old man) Money problems up the Wazoo. You see, I spend a lot of money, the problem is that only works out when you make a lot of money...and well let's just say I'm never gonna be making it into the fortune 500 in this lifetime.

Yes. It's been better lately because I know why I felt the way I did thus have solved it but it still shows itself anyway. Just not as often. I definitely feel you though. I'd like a special someone too. Never had a relationship in which I actually feel like they love me.

But anyway, everyone here is correct. It's just your age and you're going through things that certainly suck. I know. Don't worry. You'll get through it. It takes some effort though.

I get depressed easily as well. Most days I'm positive, but some days I just feel like crap. I try to look at the bright side of life though. This world has way too many horrible things happening in it. If I'm only going to be here a short while, I figure I should try my best to appreciate the good things in life.

Anyways, I wish you the best of luck with your depression issues. Depression sucks, and I hope everyone here who has issues with it can overcome them.

Thank you everyone for supporting me. The way how i was treated in school was a PAIN!... i lost all my friends... all of the schools respect.I know this is just in the past. But i know this is infecting me. at the minute i go college now. In uk you go college at 16-17 or go work. I just like to draw weird and creepy things when i a depressed. But i need to know how to just make it get out of my life. It's the only thing letting me down...

I really love doing youtube commentary. But my depression takes over and i can't record. It's another downside of what happens and the things i love to do.

Hey ApplesBrony,

If it makes you feel better, you're not the only one who is going through that. The past couple of months have been really scary for me but there's a light at the end of the tunnel in that I'm starting a new job soon but I still tend to go through a nasty cycle where I'll be fine and then all of the sudden, I'll fall into depression for a couple days and then recover.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is that you're not the only one who is going through that and if you need someone to talk to, you have us on here. :) As far as advice goes, you can give "St Johns Wort" a try. I don't know if they have it in your area or not but if they do, it's a natural supplement that's supposed to help deal with depression and stress. I usually take it when I'm really down and it helps for the most part in my experience but it's one of those ymmv things however. The next best thing though is to simply talk to someone or even a doctor who might be able to prescribe something to control the depression.

It's not much but I hope my two cents helps :)

Thank you. I do like to talk to people about my problems. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. Sadly i don't have that place around my area. :c

My apologies but if you meant the St Johns Wort that I mentioned earlier, it's not a place that you would go to but a natural supplement that you take.
