With the new episode around its seems that Suri became the target of the fandoms hatred, Why? Because unlike Gilda or Trixie she was not very sympathetic And was very one dimentional. But listen to these points:

 

1)She was a good foil to Rarity, Since they are so opposite she makes Rarity look good and thats what a good antagonist should be, Make the good guys look good.

2) She made Coco Sympathetic, The biggest reason Coco was a fleshed out character is because of her relation ship with Suri, Otherwise she would be a Fluttershy clone.

3) Villains are not suppose to be sympathetic, They are suppose to hated and make the good guy look good.

Actually, yeah, her voice got little annoying by the end, and I hated her for stealing Rarity's stuff, but... That's what her character was supposed to do! Make you hate her!

 

So yeah, I don't like all the hate swirling around her. Though, honestly I haven't seen much of it since I've been marathonimg a TV show called Psych.

 

Oh, and I wasn't the only one who kept mimicing Suri's various ways of saying, "Mmkay?" and found it incredibly entertaining?

I'm on team bad guy.  And while Suri is cut throat,

 

she's by the numbers.
She's as formulic as garbel only less fun.

She's un interesting.

 

Hell I foud Tai's nephew more interesting.

And don't get me wrong I like Co co maybe it's the name,

but why did she make her a sympathetic?

She was a chump for working for a talentless hack.

She had the means to screw rarity gift wrapped to her.

 

Some villiany.  she's a buttom feeding opertunist, with no flair, or dramatic.

I for one praise the Writers for trying out an antagonist that we could actually hate rather than sympathies with

Don't go that route. DT is much worse than Suri (Or Siri whatever) because she knowingly picked on a specific pony knowing that her flaw was in something she just can't handle. (Being that, in the Tweets, its revealed that Scootaloo IS disabled) She knowingly picked on her for the sake of winning a competition that she wouldn't have possibly known she would have won, being that there are others entering and she didn't see all the acts.Besides, I'm pretty sure telling a pony pretty much that being a pegasus who can't fly isn't a pegasus is much worse than a thieving pony. (Then again, Silver Spoon actually was the one to being up that Mrs.Harshwhinny wouldn't choose her because she can't fly at all, being that pegasus ponies fly...and she was the one that pretty much...said that instead)

 

Though, she's just below DT for me. I mean, she knew that she was going to be nice enough to give her the fabric and targeted her specifically knowing she was better. It shows that she's a teeny bit wiser perhaps on who she chooses, but..DT is probably smarter by a long shot..

Suri is hated for the same reasons that Diamond Tiara and even Gilda are hated - because they are one-dimensional and lack any redeeming qualities. They are there to cause trouble and act as foils to the Mane cast and are meant to be hated by viewers.

I didn't hate Suri, I just didn't care for her, she didn't interest me and to be honest I don't really care for characters like her, Trixie, Sunset Shimmer, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, and Gilda. They just seem like the stereotypical mean girls that are like "OMG, I'm snooty." I do hope Trixie appears again later this season or in the future however.

I would enjoyed her kinda if they showed her black mailing her way into the contest with some horrible product because the plan all along was to dope someone.

I don't think a villain fulfilling the story's need for a villain makes them redeemable. It makes them a villain. That's like saying Chrysalis was redeemable because she got the plot moving and made everyone else look super-nice in comparison.

Suri was an evil mare. Even more so than Trixie or Diamond Tiara. By the power of Celestia,I wanted to  punch her. I never wanted to punch Trixie (I in fact love Trixie).  I just outright hated her. and even in the end. she never changed or anything. She stole Rarity's designs and stuff. Trixie didn't even stoop that low.and Diamond Tiara, well she actually admited to liking the CMCs routine for that flag carrying thing. Suri was an out right bitch.

 

 

I know she was there purposly to be hated on, but so are Trixie, DT/SS. But Trixie and DT?SS do it in such away that they're interesting characters. Suri was kind of flat.

trixie tried to use a torcher spell on rainbow dash.  I'm not saying I object, but I'm evil ^^.  and trixie wasn't not under the power of the alicorn amulet when she tried to cast that spell.  it was off her.

And her mind set was to harden herself at that time, which is why she dumped on her friends,
