gaming DmC: Devil May Cry

I picked up DmC: Devil May Cry for my 360 a week ago, and beat it 3 days later. It's an interesting game. But I'll always be a fan of the original Devil May Cry. I'm hopin' for a sequel, and I wish that the Classic Dante skin wasn't DLC. Ebony & Ivory look like Daedric weapons, I prefer Rebellion's classic look. New one kinda sucks.

I love DmC. It's without a doubt the best game in the franchise and does literally everything better than the past games. I really hope they continue with this trend.

 

The Vergil's Downfall DLC was pretty dumb though and the only good thing to come out of it is that Vergil himself plays very well by the end of it. It takes far too long for him to get to a smooth gameplay style though. It isn't until the final two levels that you get any decent use out of him He's very restricted before he gets the angel and demon forms and upgrades them well enough.

I got it a little while back, and I've been playing it on my "Steam Machine" setup. Dante is such an idiot when it comes to letting himself get caught by the demonic city security.

 

I have a number of games I'm playing, so I keep forgetting to play through it.

It is a very good game franchise, however I was disappointed with the Downfall DLC I really thought we could get a good use out of Dante instead it took a while to get that going. A good game franchise nevertheless.

I'm kinda iffy on the game. Watching my brother play it, I do love the way the combat looks, but I'm still not impressed with what they did with Dante, the original Dante had a lot more charm

Gameplay and story is fine, but they ruined dante. I grew up with the original devil may cry games, and seeing dante turned into some punk wannabe really pissed me off. And before everyone starts telling me how new dante isn't that bad, just let me say original dante is funnier, more stylish, smarter (sometimes) and overall more epic and badass. I don't like the direction the franchise is headed in, and I hope they bring devil may cry back to its roots.
