a non Brony going to a Brony convention

Further to my earlier post I spoke to my flatmate about his 'obsession' and he's reassured me. As well as this he has managed to pursade me to go to a future bronycon with him. Now I do admit I have some prejudices, but that mainly comes from being dragged to a My Little Pony fair 20 years ago by my older sister. Can you tell me what to expect? Will it be filled with preteen girls mobbing the people wearing costumes? Or will it be much more relaxed?

Most people will have some kind of merch. Though the lines will be long, it'll be your regular convention. Mainly 17-20 year olds is what I've seen.

From my experiences other then the lines for vendors and panels. There is a lot of screaming, singing, and dudstep.

They seem to be rather noisy so I would be prepared for that. Don't be surprised if a good majority of people you see there are wearing some kind of pony merchandise and don't be shocked at long lines. There's probably going to be more teenage males than anything as well. But, no matter, you should be fine and shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Nothing to worry about...but you may see both genders in cosplay. I have never been to one, but I have seen clips. xD
I heard they are a lot of fun!

More like nerdy 20+ yr old guys. There were some females there but i swear almost all of them were into cosplay and came with their boyfriends or their other female cosplayers. There were a ton of vintage videogamers, magic the gathering players, and of course flaming bronies so expect it to be a part of nerd culture (Howard + Raj might be there).

Singing, dancing, long lines, and a lot of merchandise everywhere! Nothing to worry about if you ask me, a lot of people have fun at these conventions so you will be fine.
