Firelight felt a strange sensation as he was teleported. He sat down breathing slightly heavily as Sky sat next to him and pressed herself close. They both looked around at their surroundings with wide eye, taking in their surroundings. Firelight stood up and looked at Shadow. "Thanks." he said. "What now?" asked Sky.

Renegade growled softly as he held his hoof over his stomach,he looked down and saw blood pouring over it,he closed his eyes a minute and he coughed a few times before looking up at his friend,"...I...I need some help..."he said,growling in the searing pain at his stomach.

Shadow took in the moment and looked around to get his bearings taking a moment to breath. "We continue to head east to that mountain there." Shadow took a moment and pulled out some bandages and some gauze and started patching up Renegade. Shadow tightened the bandage once he'd finished, shaking his head. "That was totally reckless of you...try to think things through before doing something like that again." Shadow took his katana back from Firelight and looked at the mountain in the distance, it was at least a days walk away and he didn't have enough energy to use the teleportation spell anymore. "We walk from here, if we keep a good pace we should be there by late evening in a day or so. That's provided none of the monsters decide to attack on the way there."

Renegade growled as he walked,limping slightly at the pain and looking down as he replied,"I did think it through...gruh..."he said and blinked a few times as he followed Shadow beside Ambiance.

The pony concealed in the shadows continues to gather information.

 

Spy: "Yes. Just as we suspected, he lives in the Everfree. Maybe we can capture this other rebel as well." (She says while chuckling to herself.) 

 

Pat: "Well, it looks like your dog has answered that question for me. I'm not saying that you're evil, although I'm still not saying I completely trust you, nor am I saying how good or bad your intentions are. Just imagine yourself in my position. I just need to go home right now."

 

"Yes, go home now. Lead me to your hideout."

Ambiance remained silent throughout the events that took place. She moved without concious thought. She was terrified again.

 

Before she knew it, she was again surrounded by death and pain.

 

She noticed Renegade limping, and wrapped her hooves around him, helping him walk.

Renegade blushed slightly as she wrapped her hooves around him,but he accepted her help with walking,now he could keep up with them,he looked at Ambiance and said in a quiet tone,"Thanks...Oh...and...I don't know if you guessed...but you and I aren't too far apart in age...I'm only 18..."he said,trying to make a little conversation.

Firelight walked along with Sky flying next to him. It was getting dark now. He looked around warily, hoping they weren't in any immediate danger. They would have to stop for camp soon. Sky looked around nervously, staying close to Firelight. She had never been out of the city before.

Bladewolf heard the spy and growled before shooting heat knives at the spy. "Somepony was spying on us" Bladewolf as Equinox took the HF Muramasa blade out. "Apparently you were being followed" Equinox said as his visor closed and his infer-red vision activated as he looked at the spy

The spy had darted off as soon as she was spotted.

 

Pat: "What?! Who would be following me? (He asked alarmingly as he turned swiftly around to look in the direction of the intruder.) I doubt it would be the peacekeepers, I haven't had trouble with them in over a year."

"Someone must have a  problem with you...though now they know where you live since the spy probably heard a lot of our conversation" Equinox said as he looked at Bladewolf. "Can you still follow the spy" He asked. "Negative he's too far for me to track him down now" The wolf said

Pat: "Oh No! Well whoever it was, they only know that we live in the Everfree forest. But not where exactly in the forest. Oh, Now what do I do? M-maybe we'll still be safe, at least for a little while, uh our house is pretty well hidden. It would probably take whoever it is...forever to find it."

 

Patterson knew that it would not be safe for long, but this was becoming too much to handle all at once.

She had never been away from the comfort and luxury of home. She had known it was bad outside, but not this much...

 

He's my age... the world is so aweful...

 

She had finally calmed herself from the shock, and spoke,

"Y-yeah... I-i-i'm the same a-age."

 

She continued to support his weight. She looked down at her hooves as she trotted foreward. The look in her eyes were filled with sadness, and shame.

 

"I never knew the world had gotten this bad..." She cried a few silent tears.

Equinox stayed quiet. "Bladewolf go with them make sure they are not attacked on their way back home" Equinox commanded. The wolf nodded. "Bladewolf is going to make sure you get back home safe. Even though you can handle yourself, it only takes one to wear you down or kill you without warning" Equinox said

Shadow stopped the group when he held out a hoof. "We'll stop here for now and we'll leave in the morning. Make yourselves as comfortable as possible...I'll set up a barrier for the night." Shadow found three key points that would make a good area to sleep within. Placing a blade in a triangle but making sure it was large enough for everypony to be within, afterwards he started gathering wood for a fire tossing some into a pile. Once he had everything settled he cast his spell, his blades set behind the barrier so he could grab them if necessary.

Sky sighed in relief as they stopped. Shadow gathered wood for a fire and Firelight walked up smiling. He sent a blast of flame into the pile of wood and set it ablaze. Then he walked back to Skay and said "Alright gorgeous, time to make you dangerous. Let's start your training." Sky's eyes widened slightly and she nodded. She copied Firelight as he squared off in the middle of the clearing. He proceeded to show her the basics of disarming and incapacitating an opponent.

Traveller came to a ladder. He pulled himself up slowly and opened the hatch. It was nearly night. He used the last of his strength to pull himself onto the street. He pulled over to the wall of a building and curled up next to it. He sighed and closed his eyes, attempting to get some sleep.

The foot steps of troops flooded near the forest, before Jack had left the generals he was cut with a sword, Jack thought nothing of it but what really happened was microscopic nanites flooded into jacks blood stream showing picture and listening to audio, the generals all heard about the criminal in dark valley, the generals sent squads covering each side of the forest, a few other squads were sent in to capture Firelight the peacekeeper alpha squad saw the fire and moved in "Drop your weapons! Put your hands up and drop to the ground do it now!" The other squads moved in on Alpha position

Pat: "Well, thank you. I don't know if we will ever see each other again, so farewell."

 

And with that, Patterson and River followed after Bladewolf who had gone ahead, into the Everfree Forest.

Boss: "You have failed me!"

 

The big pony sat in his chair with a very annoyed look on his face, directed at the slender mare who now kneeled before him.

 

Spy: "But my lord, I gathered as much information as I could, the other rebel almost killed me! How was I to know that he had augmented senses?"

 

"I needed to know exactly where this rebel lived, You don't know how much this complicates things! And now they have already disappeared into the forest. We shall have to make the best of it. You! (He points to one of the thugs standing by.) Send a message to the order of the Peacekeepers. Tell them that we have uncovered a conspiracy against their order, and give them this recording and all the information that we have learned on both of the rebels. Make sure that they do not find any of them without giving out some reward." 

 

The stallion left the building.

 

"Please, I'm sorry! It won't happen again!"

 

"No...It won't..."

Renegade sighed softly,he then pulled her into a soft,comforting hug,"shhhh...it's ok...It has gotten bad,I know...but no need to cry about it sweetheart...we will change it one day..."he said in a soft tone,stopping as he hugged her to him softly,he then looked up to his friends and said,"Hey,guys...my stomach is killing me..."he said with a pained expression on his face...maybe he could grow to like this mare...

Equinox jumped up to the roofs and activated his augmented vision. He called somepony on his codex.  "What's going on Sol" The mare said. "Met two ponies and talked with them so we may have potential allies problme is we had a spy so I sent Bladewolf to go home with them in case they are setting up something" Equinox/Sol said. "Not good...keep an eye out I'm going to try and see what I can find out until then this channel remains closed" With that said the call ended.

 

 

Meanwhile....

Bladewolf waited for the other two ponies as he got a message. "We have someone searching up whats going on at the moment...until then we are blind on who spied on you" The wolf said

She set Renegade down by the newly-lit fire. The day was exhausting, mentally and physically. She was extremely worried. 

 

"Alright... here we are." She spoke calmly, despite her immense amount of worry. She sat down next to him. "At least we can stay warm..."

 

She watched as Firelight began practice with Sky. She felt her own insignificance, and her inability to fight. She felt shame in herself.

 

You're dead weight. You'll probably get everypony killed. It'll be your fault if they die... She shook her head furiously. The world was dangerous, and she felt like useless cargo. She cried again. Useless.

 

She shivered, huddling next to Renegade, trying to keep herself warm.

Renegade sighed softly and and looked at her crying,he took off his armor and softly pressed her face into his chest and started to cuddle her for comfort as he took his helmet off,"shhh...listen,I think we can train you so you can at least defend yourself sweetheart..."he said softly,he then smiled at her kindly and slowly placed the helmet over her head,it was fairly large for her and she had kind of a hard time seeing out of the eye slits,he smiled softly and rubbed her back.

Pat: "I'm sorry about all this River. Maybe I should never have brought us both into town. I feel so overwhelmed right now, we are no longer safe. I suppose I knew that this would happen some day, but now so much is going on at once, all at the same time! And I have no idea what to do. It all boils down to stay, or leave. If we stay, trouble will surely find us eventually. If we leave, if we join that stallion on his mission...we are sure to find trouble."

 

River: "There is no way that you could have known, there is nothing you could have done, and none of this is your fault. And I know that this all sounds a bit cliche, but I know that you will figure out how to handle all of this."

 

Patterson couldn't help but smile, just a little bit.
