The Hamilton Museum was bustling, as usual. It had been two months since Professor Dirk Carton's murder in the museum, and the place had been abuzz since then to see the jewel that drove the killer to that dreadful climax: The Eye Of Uadjit. Many guests mainly gazed. Some took photos. Others, however, were different. Dreadfully different. It was a dark night when Gahiji and Isis Amun entered the Museum. Without a word, they went to the jewel and stared at it, before turning to meet Doctor Johann Vanderveer, the curator of the museum. "You." Said Gahiji, "you do know what this is, don't you?!" He yelled at Johann. "Why, yes, I do. It is The Eye Of Uadjit. The bringer of greed." Said Johann.

"Blasphemous fool!" Blurted Isis. "You will bring death and destruction upon your head! That jewel is cursed by Menkaura, the great pharaoh!" Shouted Isis.

"I wouldn't worry about it, I have a hard head." Joked Johann.

"Just you see. You will die an excruciating death. Tonight." Said Gahiji. "Beware the Curse of Menkaura." Said Isis, before the two left. A few patrons heard what was going on. Namely the ponies Masquerade, Starcover, and Lee. "He has a point." Said Masquerade, referring to Gahiji. "What do you two think?" He asked.

Starcover was gazing at one of the exhibits on display when he heard the pony talk about curses and destruction. "What do I think? I think it's just a bunch of superstitious nonsense. I mean, does that Eye of Uadjit look like it's cursed to you?" Starcover replied.

"It could be. Or it could not be. Heck, I'd bet somepony would kill Vanderveer to prove that," said Masquerade, jokingly, but not doubting that possibility entirely. It could happen. And it made Masquerade tremble mentally. "But I don't doubt something about that jewel is wrong." Said Masquerade.

Starcover snorted and went to see the Eye. It didn't look like much. After having a quick look, he trotted back over to Masquerade and Lee. "It doesn't look like much anyway. Lee? Do you have an opinion on all this?" He asked Lee. He turned around and surveyed the room.

Lee stared at it. It was a pretty enough jewel. He wouldn't kill for it though. "These ponies and their shortsightedness. If they lived as long as I did, they'd see that such items are petty in the big scheme of things. Still..." something about it unnerved him. Having thought all this in his head, he spoke aloud saying "Well, it is quite pretty, though I'm not sure what would drive a pony...er...somepony to kill for it." He breathed a sigh, hopping no pony caught his blunder or took notice of the significance.

C.T had fell asleep in a closet after that pony slamed her in there making her passout. When she woke up she was confusd of her surondings and sighed rembering where she was. She heard voices and slowly got out of the closet and throught up a plan quick. She was a good lier. Better than most. She randomly walked out of the shadows to revile her self to the tiny ponies. "Hello There" she said slickly.

Paladin was walking around the museum. He kept on looking around until he found the display he was looking for. "Whew. It's still here." After the princesses had learned of what was going on at the museum, the had thought to send some guards down to secure the artifact. Unfortunately it was dark when the news arrived and the only one available to be sent was Paladin. Even though he tried to keep a low profile, there wasn't much he could do. Being a bat-pony, his wings stood out in a public setting like a sore hoof, and his cat like pupils didn't help him much either. When he spoke though, that what really frightened most ponies. His teeth were normal...except for the large canines in the front. He wasn't sure why everypony was frightened of his incisors, where he came from, everypony thought they were beautiful.

"Hello." Said Masquerade to Thylacine.

Night had begun to fall.

Doctor Vanderveer gave a shout to all the patrons in the museum: "closing time!" Before starting to file out the visitors.

 

 

Lieutenant Dan Morrow had been a good friend if. Light Streak for a while now. He recently received a call from Light, who requested that he take over any murder cases, as Light was going to be away on a murder case in Trottingham for a while. Dan agreed.

Paladin walked up to the curator, a Doctor Vandeveer and cleared his throat. *ahem* "Excuse me, but I was asked to come here after in light of the recent events surrounding a strange artifact. Would you mind if I stay here the night, just to placate the fears of our fair princesses?" His eyes growing accustomed to the dark, he looked around, seeing everything as easily as if it were day. Looking in to a particularly dark corner, he loosed a small burst of echo location only to receive an echo telling him that there was nothing there. He turned his attention back to the doctor, awaiting a reply.

"I don't mind. It appears as if you are a detective of sorts." Said Doctor Vanderveer. "Well, we've already got two Egyptian folks coming in here and saying that this Eye Of Uadjit is cursed, or whatever." Said Doctor Vanderveer. "But I doubt it. I'll wake up tomorrow, at the Dawn of a new day." Said the Doctor.

Paladin looked at the pony intensely for a moment before nodding and turning around and walking in a small circle, still scanning the area around him. ​"I guess I am of sorts. I actually am a captain of Luna's night guard. They needed someone to make sure that the Egyptians weren't causing any trouble so they sent me. I was actually something of a detective before I joined the guard though. I'm just here to make sure nothing goes awry. Sleep safe sir. Everything should be fine in the morning. A couple questions if you don't mind me asking though. Are those Egyptians still here? And where are you staying? Is it near the museum? I can have a guard posted outside where ever you're staying if you like?"

"The Egyptians left a while ago, those fools." Said Vanderveer. "I'm staying a couple blocks away at my home. It should be secure enough to not need a guard. Besides, what can a pharaohs curse possibly do to me? Keep me awake at night?" Joked Vanderveer, lughing.

Paladin nodded. "Alright, well, if you need anything, you know where to find me. I-" He stopped talking when he thought he heard something, but turning around again, revealed nothing to his nocturnal vision. "Never mind. Good night doctor. I will see you in the morning." Saying so, he took up a position next to the artfact in question and started pacing back and forth in front of it, pausing every once in a while to let out a burst of echo location at a certain area or just focus on a certain spot just to be sure there was nothing in the shadows.

Johann nodded at Paladin, and said "see you in the morning", before heading home.

 

The sun rose on a new day. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, but not for long. All of a sudden, it was dark. It began to rain. Why was this so?

 

Doctor Johann Vanderveer, the curator of the Hamilton Museum, had been murdered.

Volt was in the Canterlot prison, no onw ever talked to him after all of his three "roommates" insplicabily died of an heart attack, he just stared at the small door all day, with a smile

 

"It's time..."

"Ehi! guard!!! YES YOU out there! i am speaking to you! come here?"

"what's the matter iddddddddddddd"

 

the guard falled to the ground moments after he touched the door, Volt was simply stand his hoof on the metal door

"idiot... "

 

he grabbed with his hoof the keys, and then he opened the door, stretching his wings

 

"Time to take back what is MINE!"

 

he opened all the other doors on his patch, simply walking in, he then flow away, hearing the bulletts of the guards whistling on his ears

 

"a storm eh? perfect..."

 

Volt flow for almost a day, morning was going to shine, the sun lifting in the air but none of this happened, he opened the door of the museum with a kick, in front of him, a dead pony

 

"I seem to have competitors ih ih"

Lieutenant Dan Morrow got the call the next morning. He quickly arrived to the scene, and gathered everypony that was present the night before in the museum. They all were suspects. "Now." Said Lieutenant Morrow. "How do you explain this?!" He asked, quite cross.

"UHH SIMPLE! I KILLED HIM AHAH!!! no, really not, i don't kill ponies in this clean ways.. blood is fine... yes... ok now, i don't have time to lose, where is the amulet??! WHO THE HELL HAS THE AMULET!! I WANT IT  I NEED IT FOR CELESTIA'S SAKE!!! Give me the bloody amulet! the murder must have it where is it?!?"

Lee was standing in the empty museum, looking around. "So he was killed? Oh horse feathers. If they find out I'm a changeling, they're sure to blame me." At least that's what he thought, until he heard the pegasus next to him start ranting. He took a few steps away to avoid the flying spittle coming from the newest arrival. He took a few more steps away before turning his attention back to the detective.

 

Paladin

Paladin was angry. He hung from the ceiling, wrapped up in his wings, watching the detective interrogate the suspects. The Doctor made his decision not to accept the guard outside his house, but it was still Paladin's job to keep the situation under control. Apparently he couldn't do even that. "Stupid stupid stupid" he mumbled to himself. His attention was diverted from the detective to some pegasus who seemed quite mad. He was babbling on about killing and the amulet. "That's about enough" he said to himself. With a whoosh he opened his wings and landed bellow right in front of the babbling blue pegasus. "You. You weren't here last night. The detective called for only those who were at the museum yesterday to attend this meeting. I'm going to ask you once to remove yourself from the premises. Don't make me ask a second time."

''So what he was killed? i dident even know the guy" she says grunting and streaching. "but what about you?" she says to the dective. "What if the curse is true? and you are the killer and it made you do it'' she says chuckling. ''Sorry im kinda bourd.." she says  with a frown. And slaps the pony who was going crazy about the amult. "about you shut the buck up before i make you?" she says growling at the pony as he was giving her a headace.

Lee

Lee backed up a little more from the group. "Every pony here is crazy! I'm the only sane one and I'm a changeling." As this flashed through his mind he heard a whoosh of air and looked up just in time to see a huge set of bat wings flare open right above the group. "What in the name of Queen Spellbinder is going on? Everypony is crazy!..."

 

Paladin

Paladin glared at the blue pegasus in front of him. "You might want to rethink that." He said, in a very low dangerous voice. Then chaos erupted as a pony slapped the blue pegasus in front of him and a brownish unicorn started yelling about everypony being crazy. His nerves finally snapping, Paladin takes a few steps back towards the detective and whispers "Cover you ears" Then turns towards the group and lets out a super sonic burst of sound, blasting every pony's ears with a pure wall of noise making them all fall to the ground and cover their ears, moaning in pain. After every pony stops hearing a ringing in their ears, Paladin claps an armored hoof on the ground with a loud bang, commanding every pony's attention. "If you will all stop behaving like foals, we have a murder investigation under way.I'll have you all please calm down or the lot of you will end up in Canterlot Prison for the next few moons." Turning his attention to the detective he says, "Please, continue." Then with a snap, his wings open up and with a whoosh of air, he shoots back up towards the shadowed ceiling where he disappears in to the shadows.

She knew what he was doing. She did the same making a super sonic burst of sound louder than hes puting him in fear. Sound was her talent and she wasnt going to let somepony hurt her with it. ''How to you those beans?" she says laughing  and pating him on the head sighing. "arnt you adorable for trying? she says to the batpony.

"As you probably already know Light Streak has asked me to fill in for him as a detective, as he is away on business. But, before anything, would anypony like to plead guilty now?" Asked Lieutenant Dan to the group.

Starcover managed to recover from the burst of sound he heard just in time to hear the detective ask if they would like to plead guilty. "Im not pleading guilty. Im just stating that the Egyptians who were shouting at Doctor Vandeveer may have done it. They kept saying something about a curse that was on the amulet or something."
