Shade smiles and snuggles Chirp, "Of course Thunder, I know she's your filly and all, but I feel a special connection with her, maybe it's the fact that we are both Changelings, or maybe it's just the fact that she's such a sweet little filly." He says nuzzling her,

 

Ocean looks around, "Shade? Where's uncle?"

"Oh he's gone to tell the funeral home where the burial is going to be, we should probably get going"

 

Ocean nods, "come on everypony" they all then leave the house and start towards the old castle

Thunder was waiting outside. "Alright, so the guards have laid your father in a pretty decent coffin. It was found in one of the rooms of Celestia's castle." Thunder explained as they walked toward the castle. Soon, they arrived at the site. A line of trumpet guards were there.

Comet flew outside from the small building that was almost hit with a bolt of energy. He quickly flew to the site where all the commotion was going on. "Jesus! The princesses!? What the, WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!!?" Comet exclaims as he approached Aaron and the rest of them.

 

Nuclear followed, her coat bristling with uncertainty. She stayed close to Comet, her yellow-eyed gaze staring at the strange creature in addition to the Princesses. The mare narrowed her eyes, prepared to make a stand if need be. "What the buck is going on here?!"

Comet put his hoof in front of Nuclear, pushing her back slightly. "Stay behind me!" Comet shouts in a lowered stance, his pupils narrowed and his ears flattened down. He couldn't fight very well, but he knew he could at least be a pony shield in front of her.

Aaron looked to the two new equine. He was in no mood to deal with distractions. He needed to focus all his attention to Twilight. "Fluttershy, keep her attention on her memories of her friends, I'll protect you and Dash. Just keep the memories flowing."

A faint smile could be seen on Twilight's face, yet it was a mental battle inside. Suddenly a wave of dark energy flooded Twilight's mind. It was a flood so harsh, that it gave her a massive headache. "Haha! I still gotcha! You cannot defeat me!" The foe proclaimed in Twilight's head. "Fight it Twilight! For us..." Rainbow Dash stated. "We're your friends, and that's all that matters. The foe is only in your mind. You have control over your own destiny and nopony can change it!" Rainbow proclaimed. Twilight was fighting so hard, that her horn lit a bright purple aura.

"Twilight, remember the time you, um... oh wait, remember when I became a model and you tried so hard to keep my secret from Rarity. But it turned out she was feeling the same way." Fluttershy and Rainbow were trying their hardest to free their friend from the clutches of this foe. Aaron looked up to the sky and saw that Princess Celestia had gone. Where to, he did not know, all he needed to do was focus on the events unfolding before him.

Twilight continued to fight. She then remembered a spell that could protect her mind from possession  She tried to use it. The foe somehow prevented her from using it. She tried again, and it still failed. "Come on Twilight! You can overcome this. Remember how Fluttershy overcame her fears and set a new wind power record?!" Rainbow Dash asked.

Celestia had escaped Twillights quarter while she was overcoming the creature. She had finally reached her sweet in Vanhoover. she had called for her best soldiers. She needed to brief them on the current situation. "Thank you for coming. You are the strongest and closest of my army. I have called you here today to discuss a disturbing event." One soldier spoke up. "Ah, come on Princess, we've done this for years. What could possibly be so bad?"

The others began to laugh with the soldier. "Because, he nearly defeated me." The laughter died as soon as her sentence was finished. "A-All by himself?" Celestia gave a nod. "I know not what sort of magic he holds, but as we speak he is using it to bend Princess Twilight to his will. I know they will eventually come for me. Which is why I have made you my own personal body guard force. You shall be my best line of defense for removing this... thing if it decides to finish what it started. It already has the elements of Kindness and Loyalty under its control, so they are to be dealt with on sight. You all have permission to kill." The room grew silent.

Ocean's mother started tearing up again at the sight of her husband in the coffin. Ocean hugs her, "It's okay mother, he is no longer suffering," She looks over to Shade who was snuggling Chirp close to him and she could tell he was having as hard a time with it as her mother was. She walks over to him and hugs him. They then sat down and waited for the burial to proceed.

The trumpet guards waited outside. Several regular royal guards. A royal guard stepped forward to make the annoucement. "We are gathered here, on this day to honor Mr. Summer. I didn't know him but, as I could tell from your family, he was a kind and loyal husband...and father." The guard stated. Several royal guards with a carriage were waiting to put the coffin on it.

Ocean nodded, and held on tight to Thunder Dash as the coffin was placed on the carriage, but before it left, everypony got up and said their final goodbyes to Summer. Ocean was the last, and as she got up and went to his coffin, she just broke down in tears.

Nuclear huffed, stomping a hoof. "I am not a helpless little filly you know!" she snapped, lowering her ears.

 

'I can defend myself easily....' she thought, feeling her magic prickle through her coat. 'If I was mad enough and not in the right mind I could level all of Ponyville...'

Thunder was by her side every second she was in tears. He just hugged her tightly. He got up on his hind legs still carrying her. Somehow, he had superior balance on them. He then followed the guards out to the burial site. The trumpet and bugle guards were all in a line at attention. Thunder Dash continued to hug Ocean.

Ocean hugged Thunder Dash back, and watched as the carriage carried her father's coffin away. Once the carriage was out of sight and the bugle and trumpet players finished, ponies started to leave and go home. Ocean looks up at Thunder with tears in her eyes and hugs him tight, "Thank you love." she says quietly.

"Your welcome." Thunder stated. "Now...we must wait for more news from the undercover guards. That is perhaps the one thing that could and would keep Canterlot safe." Thunder Dash stated. Suddenly an undercover guard ran up to him and took his hood off. "Thunder, it seems as if Twilight could get a hold of herself! If she can do this, then maybe it will be safe to enter Ponyville, but I'll keep watch." The guard stated. "That's great. But we won't wanna take a risk. This foe is very strong." Thunder advised while still hugging Ocean.

@, (funerals are b-o-r-i-n-g, i know they're not meant to be fun but a few posts about how the burial went on, well not much fun to read in an RP)

 

 Ocean cheered up a little at the news, there was still hope after all. She smiled at Thunder, "That's wonderful news, if Princess Twilight Sparkle can get back to her usual self, I am sure that the other Princesses can too." 

 

Shade walks over to Thunder with Chirp on his back.

"Well, if we can get Twilight back, then...we could get Cadence back as well! If Twilight can show her love for Cadence, that would almost eradicate the possession!" Thunder explained. Chirp started to mew suddenly. "She may be getting a little hungry." Thunder stated.

(Agh, I was going to have Shadow find the funeral out of coincidence... I guess I could still work with this.)

 

Shadow has been watching the funeral from some distance off, he never understood why it gained his attention, he didn't even know who was being buried. "So much death... Too much," He allowed his thoughts to slip out of his mind on purposefully this time, not caring if anyone around heard him. That pony over there appeared to grieve more than the rest. Out of dumb curiosity, he began to approach Ocean, before almost hitting himself in revelation, "You really are useless when it comes to others' feelings aren't you Shadow?"

Ocean nods and nuzzles Thunder, then smiles at the little mews that Chirp was making, "Aaw, hold on sweety, I think I have something for you." she digs around in a saddlebag and brings out a dandelion, "hope she likes dandelions" she says with a smile, gently petting Chirp

Chirp kept on mewing a bit until she smelled something. She saw the dandelion and went for it. She chewed and swallowed. Chirp let out a happy mew. "Awww she likes it!" Thunder stated. "We could probably get her some sweets at the Canterlot sweet shop. They still manage to run during this time." Thunder stated.

"ooh she likes sweets?" Ocean digs around again and brings out a variety of sweets, and smiles, "here you go Chirp, don't eat them all at once though, or you'll get sick" she says with a smile and hugs Thunder Dash as she gives the sweets to Chirp. "We should get back home love, or is there something else you would like to do?"

"Look, I know you can take care of yourself! I don't care that you can take care of yourself! I would much prefer if it was you visiting me in the hospital, or worse the cemetery, than the other way around!" Comet shouted back at her.

He quickly turned his attention back to the situation at hand.

"I don't know what that... Thing... Is, or what it is doing here. But I'll be dammed if it tries to hurt you..." Comet said in a quieter, but still very serious voice.

Aaron watched the two assist their friend in over powering this entity from her mind. These two have gone through a lot, along with a few other ponies. His attention was drawn back to the two looking at him as if he was some kind of monster. If it was any of the other members, their speculation would be on the money. Fluttershy and Rainbow continued their memory bombardment.

Chirp reached over for the sweets and mewed happily. "I guess she's very hungry!" Thunder said with a small laugh. "And...my home unfortunately...is in Cloudsdale, which is in Twilight's Quarter. Until I get the okay from the guards, we're staying here for the rest of the time." Thunder stated.

Twilight's legs started to wobble as she continued to close. "No! No!" The foe screamed in her mind. It then flooded her mind with darkness causing Twilight's eyes to go a bright evil green. "Oh no!" Rainbow Dash said with an afraid tone. Twilight looked as if she would transform into a hideous beast. The good was still there. Her eyes were flashing green as she continued to fight.
