Rainbow Dash drawing - critique, opinions, suggestions?

Recommended Posts

I did this drawing yesterday on my drawing tablet. Took me around an hour or so to complete, most of the time being consumed redrawing particular body parts to get them correct.

Tell me what you think! What should I draw next? How am I doing? Any suggestions for improvement?

Thanks!

this is actually a really cool art style you got going here! it's different, in a good way.

anyway, to me, her left hind leg looks a bit weird, tough that's all i got.

Yeah, that leg is what I wound up spending the most time redrawing. It was that and her wing that bothered me in particular. Thanks!

Pros -

You have improved a lot from the first picture you uploaded using your drawing tablet. So I think you are on the right track when it comes to how you are going.

Cons -

The eyebrows are kinda weird for rainbow dash to have, like what RoguesWolfe said,

It fits with the style but not the pony?

Muffins -

I think you should try and draw derpy next and, if possible, to fill out her eyes or at least add a colour around the eye to match derpy's eye color.

Hmm, its a nice style, somewhat different from the norm.

I don't actually mind the eyebrows and the hindlegs have alread been pointed out....hmm.

I'd say make the outlines more consistent (wing/mane are a bit thin) and fix the right eye so it doesn't look like it's melting.

As for practice, I's say try different poses (running, flying, rolling on the floor ect.); it does  wonders for one's anatomy skill.

Hope we get more from you soon.
