At the base, they just seem kinda pasted on rather than being part of the character. They also jut straight out, contrasting the curve seen in birdwings. Whether you want em cartoony or realistic, it helps create the illusion if it resembles them.

I think your style is great and you don't necessarily need to change it. however, to be more in keeping with the show style look at this

again it's only a suggestion I think the picture looks good but the aspect ratio is what's off (meaning they are thin and long).... as I have said it's just a different style not bad just different

Looks good! I like you're characters design and color. The colors work really well together and is nice to look at. Just a few questions, do you use a tablet to color you're pictures and have you ever tried paint tool sai?

Ah okay, tablets are like the best when drawing on the computer. but I have to say I'm super impressed you did that picture with just your mouse!

 

Paint tool said is a really popular drawing thing and I think you can find it for free, at least I did. You might want to give it a try or even look at some tutorials on youtube.

Ok so i thought about the name and i have come up with an idea. he will be called Toxic Hoof when he is calm and Toxic Bomb when he is not so calm. sort of like how Luna became Nightmare moon.
