If you could kill off a character/characters from MLP who would it be and why?

I don't think I would "kill off" any characters, but there are a few characters I wouldn't mind never, ever making an appearance again.

 

 

Flash Sentry - The most pointless character in existence.

 

Snips & Snails - Annoying. Very, very annoying.

 

Trixie - A much more annoying version of Rainbow Dash.

Explain yourself. Personally, that would be my pick as well mostly because it would cause some good drama and make Twilight have to step up and take the throne. It would be sad and heart wrenching, but I always have felt that this was just the direction the show was going in the first place. Celestia is training Twilight for the throne, and for Twi to take it Celestia has to be gone. But why do you want her gone?

Ok in seriousness, I don't like her in any way. Her character is bland, and lazy. She's like one of those cliche princesses, who do nothing but command others to do everything, even if it could kill them all (one time she did something and got her ass kicked). Yes, I get she's training Twilight and crap, but some on...if Twi is still learning, why send her off to save their existence from something that would eat them all alive if she failed? If Twi wasn't protected by plot armor, then the chance of failure against Sombra would've been pretty high really. Celestia is an idiot.

I haven't read OP, so I'm assuming this goes beyond mere "BOO I HATE DIS CHARACTER THEY DESERVE 2 DIE AS A RESULT". We are adults, after all.

 

Anyway, towards the tail end of the series, they should take a page out of Harry Potter and have Princess Celestia bite it, but only after we've learned a satisfactory amount about her character so we can effectively give a crap.

I'd be ok with this, but I don't want her Boba Fett'd either. A villain would have to step in that only Twi and friends can stop, and the death scene NEEDS to have emotional weight (as you said).

Note how the second use of the word character is plural. I'm able to make a list of characters. Whether it be 8 or 30.

I guess my least favorite characters would be Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara but I sorta see them as being critical for the CMC to find their way. That whole thing about challenges building character and whatnot.
