What if MLP: FiM was... cyberpunk

Howdy, everypony!

 

I just love this genre of sci-fi (also the steampunk, but it's another story). And I was quite surprised that no one wonders here about how it could be in Equestria (I couldn't find any thread regarding to this). Maybe it's just my search skill or maybe no...

 

Anyway, who likes this genre too, what do you think? What it would be like?

 

Something like:

 

Ponyville, Cloudsdale and Canterlot are becoming just a small districts of one of oversized megapolises.

 

Celestia and Luna would be heads of worldwide corporations in a state of never ending cold war.

 

Ponies would invent the Grid, that would be constantly supplied by unicorn magic to sustain it's functionality, no matter what (um, stop, it's from another universe )

 

As for the Mane 6

 

Rainbow would be a police officer. Who fights crime on the one hand and sell weapons and preferences to crime lords on another.

 

Pinkie Pie would be, well, the same. The best party-maker around! Plus addicted to candy drugs, plus constantly mood-changing problems, depression. 

 

Rarity would be a famous newsmaker plus one of the leaders of "clean pony" campaign against cyber augmentations to ponies bodies using any means necessary to accomplish her goals (even Spike ) 

 

Applejack would be a head of product company, who, otherwise, be one of cyber-worshipers. She would become one after the incident with her hoof on production line, after that she was augmented with a new one, a cyber one. Plus she made a deal with Celestia to use her products for genetic experiments on ponies around (let's say Apples cider now is absolutely not what it used to be )

 

Fluttershy would be a doctor in clinic in downtown that frequently uses illegal drugs and augs to heal her patients, no matter what. This drugs she would get from her close friend Twilight who is head researcher in Celestia's corporation.

 

Also Twilight would be known for using illegal neuro-augmentations to stimuli her brain function and traveling to restricted parts of the Grid. And illegal experiments on the livings, of course 

 

Spike would be Spike, no matter what

 

Well, you know, in cyberpunk nobody's perfect. No, better like this. In cyberpunk everyone is imperfect

 

And it would be rain (like noire one). Always rain. Not a chocolate one.

 

Guess, it's cruel for cartoon characters, but it's just my wicked imagination. Plus in the last season friendship will prevail and everypony will become ultimately good and happy. Yay! Um, If you don't mind

That game.... my god...... That game broke my limits of comprehension....

 

Remember that cyberpunk was all a simulation

 

but my responce would be a big no

 

I'm sorry for being so brash but seeing anyone from mlp turn into an alligator at the end of the game would just scar me for life
